At an elementary school in Unova, two 3rd grade school kids who each have an Oshawott went on a field trip with the rest of their peers for their history class to Jubilife City in Sinnoh. The purpose of this trip is to learn of Oshawott's origins like where they originally came from, how they lived, and what eventually lead them to migrate to Unova, where they can be found in abundance to this day. The secondary purpose of this field trip is to learn how Jubilife City first started off as Jubilife Village back in ancient times when Sinnoh was referred to as Hisui. When the students and teachers arrived at Jubilife City, the citizens of the city were setting up for the Jubilife Historical Parade, which is an annual event to celebrate the history of Jubilife and the town's origins. This includes parading many parade floats and parade balloons down the streets of Jubilife City, showcasing a recreation of what it was like when Jubilife City was known as Jubilife Village. The parade balloons show off the Pokemon who were once native to this ancient land including; Decidueye, Samurott, Typhlosion, Zoroark, Lilligant, Goodra, Basculegion, and many more. During the parade, the narrator will share some history on each parade float and balloon to the audience as the floats and balloons pass by.
Before the parade began, the Unova history class arrived at a nearby Pokemon Center so that everyone could let their Pokemon out of their Pokeballs so that they can go play and get some exercise after the long plane ride from Unova. When the two elementary school kids let their Oshawotts out of their Pokeballs alongside their classmates, they told them to behave themselves and to not wonder off while they went to the parade. The two Oshawotts nodded in understanding what their Trainers asked of them. When they were let outside alongside the other students' Pokemon, they saw what looked to be a giant flying Samurott in the distance. Curious, they made their way towards the flying Samurott, making sure to blend in with the other Pokemon so that they can't be seen escaping the Pokemon Center grounds. Upon successfully escaping, they reached where the giant flying Samurott was located and saw that it has lots of strings tied to it. One of the Oshawotts pulled on one of the many strings and the Samurott bobbed like a balloon would if one were to pull its string while it's flying. Realizing what this Samurott really was, Oshawott informs their friend that this Samurott is actually a big, bouncy balloon. With excitement in their eyes, both Oshawotts grabbed onto a different balloon string and began climbing up until they reached the top of the balloon. Upon doing so, they noticed how squishy and bouncy it really is, but before they could begin bouncing on the big Samurott balloon, it lurched forward a little bit, throwing them off balance, but luckily, they didn't fall off and they weren't scared of the sudden lurch. So, they sat down, got comfortable, and enjoyed the ride as the Jubilife Historical Parade began.
As the parade progressed, one of the human organizers who was monitoring things from the many rooftops of the city, noticed the two stray Oshawotts riding on the Hisuian Samurott parade balloon. They informed their boss of their findings, but were advised to leave them be as stopping the parade mid-route could scare the Oshawotts enough to panic and fall off the balloon, getting seriously hurt in the process or worse. Rather than cause mass hysteria for everyone, they'll monitor the Oshawotts movements and make sure that they don't cause trouble. When the parade ended, the humans handling the Hisuian Samurott balloon anchored it down and then slowly lowered it down towards ground level so that the two Oshawotts can safely climb off when it was low enough to the ground. Once that happened, the two Oshawotts hopped off without a care in the world and ran back to the Pokemon Center where they were supposed to stay at in the first place. Shortly after they got back, all the students, including their Trainers, arrived to pick them up and take them to a nearby hotel where they were staying for the rest of the festivities. When they met up with their Trainers, they asked their Oshawotts if they were good and if they had fun. They nodded "Yes", but one wouldn't say that they were "good" because of their little stunt today, not like that they could tell them anyway, even if they wanted to. And so, all the students and their Pokemon set off for the nearby hotel for some well deserved R&R!
