Years back in 2019 I'd decided to do some artwork of a Foden Alpha which is based off of a Truck that was made by a U.K. Truck Manufacturing Company which was founded by Edwin Foden in 1887 that started building Steam Powered Vehicles and would switch to diesel engine power in the 1930's and later by the 1980's the company would be a member of PACCAR Inc and would be later absorb into DAF Trucks and Foden was phased out and retired by 2006, the last Foden Truck to rolled off from the Foden Trucks assembly line which was a Foden Alpha 3000 ending the 150 years of Truck Building for Foden, the company would be replace by Leyland and DAF Trucks. #Vehicle #Semi #Truck #Foden

Started reworking on this Truck artwork since the original was lost in a computer crash that I'd had last year, luckily, I had parts of the Base saved in a Flash drive and started to remake it in order to upload on to InkBlot Art since I can't get a copy of the original artwork onto here, so I'd had to remake it. the Artwork is base around the Skoda Xena which was built by Skoda Liaz which was a Company in the Czech Republic that use to built a number of Commerical Vehicles from Buses, Trucks, Trains, & Military Equipment, now these days Skoda just make Cars with Volkswagen. It was a beast to make, an actual, terrifying nightmare. The background was a pain to do, the main pose was a pain to do, the 6 other characters were a pain to do, existing was a pain to do (still is), but I saw it through the end! This was a commission for the same discord friend as our latest uploaded! He wanted his human pokemon trainer Tag in a pose, ready to go, with all of his team surrounding him. When he said "I want 7 characters for this commission!" I felt the chillest cold that I've ever felt. Of course I said "You got it, boss!" and then spent the next 11 hours of work (Which of course were 90% on the shading) and finally getting it done! Done entirely in Krita with no 3D posing! It's nice to see that Inkblot 2.0 finally launched, but MAN, is it as buggy as ever! What's crazy is that my timeline doesn't display my posts in the correct order, which should be from my latest drawing (according to version 1.whatever it was) to my oldest drawing! Why it's not doing that, I'm not sure. I also cannot reupload my old banner as it doesn't tell me why it can't be uploaded. It just says that something went wrong, and nothing else! I know that Inkblot 2.0 just launched so I'm willing to give it time before I start uploading my backlog of artwork since the last one I posted on here due to the upgrade. Once the sorting order is figured out, then I'll continue to upload here. Otherwise, I might just say "forget it" and just stick to DeviantArt, Bluesky, and Itaku. I may consider Fur Affinity as another potential place to post my artwork, but we'll have to wait and see how things play out first.

Oh god... What even happened here? We went from an art site to a facebook clone? All my artwork is out of order, my page doesn't even feel like an art site gallery, the front page is just another scrolling timeline where everything is massive and built with only mobile users in mind... I have to scroll endlessly to see any new artwork, hidden among people's status posts... No way to browse just artwork outside of tags. No way to see a tile of recently uploaded artwork. At least as far as I can tell. Clicking on trending tags brings me to yet another timeline scroll, which isn't even centered on desktop. It's aligned to the left with a lot of dead space on the right that is just... empty. Yeah no. This website is not for me. This isn't an art site. ("Photos" instead of "Gallery"???) It's yet another generic social media clone. Sorry, but that's not what I'm interested in. I don't know why there's such a push for every new site having a mobile-centric UI, even on desktop, designed to keep you scrolling forever on your phone. It is *so clunky* to use on desktop. It's so easy to miss new art uploads, because you can't view thumbnails on a grid. Discoverability becomes tied to how often people share your pieces around. I'm just tired, man. Maybe I'm just getting old and exhausted from trying out so many new "art sites". The way artwork is displayed and discovered is one of the most important things to me. I want to be able to open the front page, and see a grid of new artwork, where I can select multiple tabs to open and browse at my leisure. I want my profile to have my art be the focus. I don't need everything to try to function like bluesky or twitter, and if this is the direction inkblot is going to go, then well... I don't think I'll be giving it another chance.
