  • trying to learn "painting" styles is hard, but trying to look up a tutorial on how to learn it digitally feels impossible like no one ever explains that technique. i'll get it eventually. it just takes trial and error and study somewhere. i got this.

  • And it's time for my next reupload: This time the drawing is from July 2018 and shows one of my OCs: Solis <3
    I really like him and he is accompaning me since many years already.
    He may looks like one of this sunny-boys, who have nothing more in their brains than muscles, parties and girls, but this impression is deceptive. Yes, it is true: he loves to exercise, is proud of his body and usually shines and laughs like the sun (Sol), he is named after, but this is only one side of him. Solis is kind of a mathematical genius and a astrology-expert.
    His open-minded and friendly character makes it easy to go along with him and himself to one of my most uncomplicated characters.

    ---
    To the picture:
    I did not only want to draw Solis' (back then) new look, but also wanted to study the male anatomy. This means that I used a reference for his body posture (not for his face). It was a great experience and I learned a lot about muscles and skin texture.

    ---

    You are not allowed to use/steal/copy this picture, the character or his look or use my artwork to train AI. Thank you very much.

  • Sitting within the Abyss, I spend my time studying to unlock hidden knowledge in the nights' tenebrous hours. My dark muse always by my side, keeping me company, strengthening my back, and guiding my hands.

  • Unlike a technician android, these models were programmed and physically customized to work in a laboratory or fulfill some other dedicated scientific role and exhibit a wider, more general inventory of skills. They mainly served next to human and Ai researchers but also worked alone, especially when studying or creating viruses, bio-weapons, or other substances that were too dangerous for human scientists to contend with. They are built with lean, agile bodies patterned after mature men and women, and feature mannerisms, interests and vocabulary similar to that of a well educated, subject obsessed scientist. Many of these units were made by human exterminating Mecha artificial intelligences to perform experimentation on human captives, cross breeding programs and the creation of cyborg slave-soldiers. For this reason, scientific androids are usually loathed by humans, and watched with extra care.

  • So here's another city scene I created using non-canon versions of Seek and Isaac [another character of mine]. It was this year where I would occasionally make Fireseeker into a furry since I still see her as a persona. However, nowadays I have made a separate animal persona for myself and I use Fireseeker moreso as an art mascot. Kinda similar to how Walt Disney uses Mickey Mouse as the face for his work.. something like that. Anywho, this scene was actually inspired by a photo I came across: Sally Daives's [''All-Night Coffee''](https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2293696/The-city-doesnt-sleep-photographer-captures-Collection-explores-changing-New-York-City-small-corners-left-behind.html):

    Over the years, creating pieces from photos have been my form of study. I used them to not only understand poses and composition but also help me understand backgrounds. It may be improper sure [as someone who's only art education was self taught, highschool and a little bit of college] but hey, everyone learns somehow. While I still teach myself through imitation, I try to keep my references far enough from the original as I can. This piece was an exception. This piece may be one that I might redraw one day and use it as inspiration for my story..

  • Here is one of my projects based on the Schizophyllum Commune mushroom, but on an alien planet with large amounts of copper. Part of a much much longer story I have yet to publish but I'll get there in time, life permitting. I Made this in Houdini, Substance Painter, and V-Ray

    This project means a lot to me, so much so I have a print of it hanging above my bed. I'll keep whittling away at it and the story on my patreon, but I'm hoping to really deep dive into it, life and struggles permitting. When I first posted it I hid metadata story snippets in the images but no one ever found them. Here is the one that was buried in this project :

    //LOG ENTRY AZU-03//
    I found the source of the signal emissions, such a strange planet. I'm no botonist but even I know a surface this copper heavy is normally a natural fungicide. All species on this planet seem to not only thrive on it, but have adapted to use it. I'm going to carefully study the signal after I setup some more atmospheric barriers, I don't want to strain the suit if I'm going to be down here awhile.
