trying to learn "painting" styles is hard, but trying to look up a tutorial on how to learn it digitally feels impossible like no one ever explains that technique. i'll get it eventually. it just takes trial and error and study somewhere. i got this.

This has been the year of self improvement. I spent most of this year attempting to prove to myself that I could learn new methods of coloring and line work in order to git gud. Though I still struggle with side profiles and flat side angles, clothing, hair, the likes-- improvement shows where it does. So here's to getting better with fingers and coloring. Alome (ah-low-may) Lucci, a young lowborn painter who, in his own words, "got lucky." young, he was always fascinated by that of the world of art, however seeing up close was rare. of course there were widdlers and those with shoddy notebooks filled with the art animals around them, but painting was scarce. that is, until the outskirts of his village came graced with that of a scholar wanting to live out his final days in peace. here, this painter taught him and his sister what he could and left him the tools to continue. as the old man passed on, alome and his sister pushed on in their endeavors, to sell their creations and thrive in his name.
