Then, Silksong finally released, AND I've always been a fan of that series' character designs, figured I'd doodle up Hornet, and somehow managed to make the least lore accurate background ever... This was a funny experiment, because I did this entirely, 100% in Blender! The drawing, the shading, the rendering, the compositing, all done in Blender natively! I love it's tools.... **Originally Created On:** January 27th, 2021 I’ve been working on more character rotations, and I finally finished one for our bug friend Scutum here! Rotations are arguably the hardest part of character design and are therefore very technical, but I find them really rewarding to get right. :’D I’ve found new ways to approach them, which has made the process much easier and far more accurate, so I think this is the best rotation I’ve done to date. I’ll need to do an updated mockup of his wings and open shell, as well as a rotation for his shield form, but that’ll come later! Since he has a symmetrical design I didn’t necessarily need to show all 8 views this time, but I’ll need all the views for reference eventually anyway.
