Then, Silksong finally released, AND I've always been a fan of that series' character designs, figured I'd doodle up Hornet, and somehow managed to make the least lore accurate background ever... This was a funny experiment, because I did this entirely, 100% in Blender! The drawing, the shading, the rendering, the compositing, all done in Blender natively! I love it's tools.... Fan-art of Taelia Fordragon, daughter of Bolvar Fordragon, and really great with a two-handed hammer. I'm on Team Taeduin--shipping Taelia with Anduin, because I think they might be good for each other; Anduin might show her how gentleness and understanding go a long way in pursuing good/noble causes, and Taelia might show him a thing or two about assertiveness and keeping himself grounded. Debating on whether Id post this or not, this was just some more humanoid practice this time with a character I actually enjoy drawing. His name is Lixian, he's just a forest creature covered in fur, no real species or anything. Good time to try some soft rounded shapes, Lixian is probably not a very confident guy honestly. He is quite reserved. Unfortunately could not stylize him in this pose so his arms are more anatomic, but it works out. Also hey, no reference! His TH: https://toyhou.se/5850258.lixian This piece is about how body positivity is presented for cisgender or AMAB trans/nonbinary people, I beleive it is very difficult for those people to access appropriate role-models and observe other people like them in the world. These body shapes are rarely looked at as the gold standard, for both cis and nonbinary people. It makes you wonder how ethical the fashion or beauty industry is, and society as a whole. It is very common to see only muscular or straight builds, but what about the people who are not built that way, will they ever get to see a model like them on a website, or see someone that looks like them in a videogame or on the front page of a magazine? These are all things that should be available without having to seek them out. Body positivity needs to be normalized. Also gonna note he is not the *w word so don't refer to him as such, just a silly forest monster On a side-note, yes this is tagged properly. I saw that 'rockstar' outfit for Sonic and knew what had to be done. You can't see it but Scourge is seething off screen. (I wanted to draw that too, but my pizza is ready and I'm STARVING :U ) Sorry for the inactivity, it's certainly been a month.
