  • I enjoy the imperfection in watercolour painting. The paint lives its own life on the paper, and the end result is never precisely how one imagined it. I find that makes it easier for me to be satisfied with and appreciate my art.

  • He's enjoying a cup of tea under a dandelion!

I never draw animals, so this was very much out of my comfort zone, but I'd like to thank my friend for making me do this prompt as I think Mr. Toad turned out quite fabulous

  • Hi, not exactly sure how this works - do you have to separately post to a group you're in for the post to show up there?

  • This isn't really my usual style! But I wanted to try something more dramatic for this one. I've been reading this one vampire novel, Carmilla, on and off, which might be where the vampire idea came from 🧛🏻‍♀️

I took inspiration for the composition from @/ssavaart 's (on Youtube/Instagram) series of '80s music icon portraits. His work is very beautiful, you can see his influence in how I draw curly hair as well 🫶🏻

I contemplated on whether to paint this or not for a while, but I'm glad I eventually did, it bumped the vibes up a good bit. You can see the purely inked version in the third image

Added a blurred first image just in case, not too familiar yet with how the gore tag works on this platform

  • A little witch cooking up a spiced up mixture

I've been quite enjoying creating little worlds and stories for some of these prompts, such as the toad in addition to this one. The stories aren't very profound, but portraying a character in a believable situation, sort of acting as a peek into their world and life, has been something I haven't really done before but have now very much enjoyed. <3

When sketching, I didn't intend this one to end up painted monotonous, but figuring out the lighting with aquarelles, it felt like a natural choice. The dramatic lighting was a struggle, but I think it came out alright in the end. Although imperfect.

  • I totally forgot to post Inktober stuff here!! I'm only doing three per week, here's my first one; map!

Drawn based on coffee spills, a technique I've seen other people use I absolutely get now why some people enjoy drawing maps often

  • Splatoon is such a queer game that this is only natural.
(I was dying of cuteness when drawing haha)
(Also, isn't the all-around long hair on the blue inkling adorable? I wish it was in-game!)
