ORIGINAL TITLE: A priceless smile So it's pretty unanymous that we all had our heart stolen by that one pokemon gardevoir short, yeah? Well, so was I! Which was funny cuz when I made this, I was running on 4 hours of sleep and feeling semi dead but when I saw that smile, a fire lit up in my head and I had to doodle something. So I made this! Entirely in Krita, trying to recriate the anime scene. Did this in about 1 hour without a single guideline, basically sculpting the drawing out of shapes!  Enjoy, ya weird salamanders. This was one of my favorite topics for the Exalted Art Challenge I participated in during October. Inspired by the Exalted TTRPG from Onyx Path Publishing, this art event always gives me an excuse to experiment with new techniques and styles. For this topic, I got carried away with the idea of Chiaroscuro glass. These remnants of the magnificent buildings of the city of old Chiaroscuro magically retain their luster and strength and are usually used for armor, weapons, and other utilitarian purposes. But I figure why not armor AND a gown for my gal, Kalara? Like why would someone drag a piece of furniture somewhere very unusual? What is the story of a tin of peas being left in the woods? And so on.

I made this as a contest entry for Artistree’s first contest, but the required Timelapse isn’t there because Clip Studio stopped recording it pretty early. So I can’t submit it without the video. Glad I also made it as a gift for my mom and it’s not a total waste. Besides, look how happy my dog is! I made him into a sticker too if anyone wants it. Commissions are still open.
