Holly is such a relatively simple but beautiful plant, all sharp edges and few colors. I've got two holly trees outside my apartment windows. They're a huge favorite among neighborhood birds when they've got berries, and I enjoy them too for their bright colors in winter. :> Neither they nor the southern magnolia also visible out my window lose their leaves in the winter. Leafless trees in the winter are so skeletal and sad. ;~;

Log 2, snow snatchers. moving further into the poles I came across a remarkable beast. I heard a roar in the distance followed by the thunderous stomps of the beast. The droid prepared to obliterate the forest while I barked at it to stop. Then, out from the trees the creature emerged, it had four limbs, an eye on its chest, and massive arms that it walked on. Luckily the beast paid no mind to us and instead snatched up a smaller piece of prey. I was able to get a scan on the creature and found out some very interesting details. The first is that the creature is the frostbitten cousin of the tree snatchers from my previous expedition. For that reason, I will call these beast Snow Snatchers. The next thing of note is that the snow snatchers have only four limbs instead of the usual six. By looking at the skeletal structure I can see that the four limbs have fused together into one large arm. These massive arms not only provide the snow snatchers with locomotion, but they make it a formidable predator. Snow snatchers also exhibit a strange behavior; they will baith themselves in mud puddles to clean their fur, but they always do a thorough check before stepping into a pool of mud, and if something is wrong with the mud, they bolt off in the opposite direction. Further study will be needed to comprehend this odd behavior.

One of snow's lesser known magical abilities is his ability to shapeshift into any animal he has seen before, be it in person or in pictures.

Most of thorn's family asume he has just two forms: Dragon and Rottie but in reality that's just what thorn settled on.

In an RP I am currently doing with @/blaigoo Snow is in charge of looking after and protecting kitty after Thorn saved her from her abusive manager don. Recently (as in yesterday/today) we had a situation where kitty got really really upset and Snow (being very attached to kitty at this point) wanted to cheer her up so badly that he willingly shapeshifted himself into a cute lil pomeranian in a desperate attempt to cheer her up with the power of adorableness

He was successful uwu

But yeah I immediately had to draw pom snow. I just had to. He normally doesn't like turning into small cute animals (he doesnt like people (other than thorn and now kitty) laughing at him or making fun of him so he tends to pick more intimidating animals. But this was an emergency unu, he will do anything to emotionally support his loved ones.

Whatever form snow takes there are a few regularities:
-he will always be either slightly or a lot bigger than the animal normally is

-he will always have mostly black fur/scales/feathers/what have you. his markings can differ in color and appearance but they tend to have a vague skeletal theme and certain markings (shoulders, upper hindlegs) stay the same shape always. Whatever part of him is black will have a blue sheen to it when the light hits it

-His eyes will always remain red and he will almost always have an underbite. Some forms however will lack this and will just have prominent tusks instead

But yeah apart from being thorn's bodyguard, he is also his emotional support animal. Whenever stress gets too much for thorn, Snow will sense this and move over to him and try and get his attention by licking, putting his weight against him, nudging with nose,etc. Just to snap him out of the stress thoughts and provide him comfort by offering himself to be petted. He also extends this service to thorn's kids (Grin especially) and now in the rp also to kitty

Anyway thats enough lore dumping from me on a silly doodle.

Sheathing is the skin encasement around the android’s body and face — at least where obvious cybernetic implants are not affixed. A unique android might start game play with the most advanced alloy cladding, a more typical plastic sheathing, or be unlucky and have no covering at all and all its servo motors, wiring, pistons and underlying skeletal frame exposed. Androids start with a base defense value of 0 (zero) just like a human character, however apply any agility modifiers, sheathing mods, or skill-based changes after the character is created.
Sheathing, or a lack thereof, also affects the endurance trait of the android so record any endurance amount added or subtracted when establishing a sheathing type, as this amount can change when skin is added or removed. Only one sheathing type can be adhered to the android at any given time.

The Royal Researcher, a form of scientist hired on by the 'King and Queen' of the Commoner monster kingdom. She holds herself high and strong with confidence and a near unbreakable will to keep pushing further into her field of studies. Fearless, she travels in her own Airship and takes on tasks that usually brings her out into the field where even hunters can fear to step foot in. While at the same time has proven stubborn and will refuse to leave her line of work even when the very area is under monster attack. While not being hot headed when Nature's monsters interrupts her studies and/or new discoveries, she is very calm, collected, cunning and a well thought person when in conversation. Very knowledgeable about the lands of Valgustra, she isn't shy to become an open book on any (and I do mean ANY) topic large or small, important or useless in nature though will always decipher just whom she is speaking to to know where to limit herself on giving out particular knowledge to a random stranger. Bearing a strong raw power over the gravitational pull in the form of a powerful magnetic field, she is able to effect the world around her near or far and even apply this ability onto others should she see fit to display her abilities.

Despite being seen as a very reliable and sawt after ally, when behind closed doors she can easily lose that strong headed demeaner of hers as while others may see her as valuable and important, she truly believes it's due to her knowledge that the people seek and without that, she is overly looked. She keeps her persona of being a powerful woman which she now doubt is, but she lacks great self-esteem and doesn't see herself as desirable. Often times she will daydream into her random fantasies, often loving to sing and even dance when she truly believes she's alone but will internally die should she get caught doing so--which a certain furball of a skeletal hunter is quite good at doing on her.~ Though this also leads to things being thrown at him if he, himself, isn't the object being tossed about. While she doesn't see her own value in herself, she does her best to aid those in need, even if it puts her in highly dangerous situations in doing so which she usually goes in with a plan. While not fast on her feet, she can out-maneuver many runners via rolling up into a ball and rolling out with great speed. Her back plating is made of a extremely hard carapace that allows her to roll around at great speeds over any kind of terrain, though this ability of hers can also lead to a few downsides like the local kids using her as target practice with their bows and she not even notice. What makes her highly dangerous to others however, is her arcane abilities over the magnetic pull of the world around her.

Her carapace has many copper-based spikes that conducts the shocking element at will and not only influence those around her with a gravitational pull but also all kinds of conductive and magnetic metals that lurk under the earth's crust. While a harbor for such raw arcane control, she chooses the life of a researcher as she doesn't want her secret status of a highly powerful Ancient be at risk of being discovered via living the life of a Monster Hunter. While living most of her time in solitude, she still has those she calls friends living across the land--though most live the frozen lands of the North in the Hunter base of Snowdin. Least she still has her radio to get into contact with any of them, or vice versa, during her travels in her love of discovery and have tales of which to share.

Today's prompt is Alien, and of course the easiest would be the Xenomorph. The problem then became what mythological creature I can also incorporate to the design.

The skeleton-like appearance of the Xenomorph draws me to think of the Ankou, a skeletal grim reaper figure that wields a scythe and a lantern, which I attempt to incorporate into a single weapon, a rib-cage lantern by the guard, and a scythe-blade for a sickle weapon.

Androids normally come standard with stitched on nylon wigs, although many military models are entirely bald.
