  • Paradox Interactive has a questionable relationship to the Third World. In the case of *Hearts of Iron IV*, the game map is borderline unplayable in the southern hemisphere, with provinces the size of some states taking nearly a month to traverse in underdeveloped regions. My own experience, in which a runaway success as Shanxi-unified China ground to a halt in the Peruvian highlands, long loomed over all subsequent playthroughs, the frustration of poor map design matched only by the frustration over modders who by and large have failed to adequately address it.

    Way back in 2017, Steam user Delincious uploaded the [More Provinces mod](https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=879097690), the first (to my knowledge) substantial map overhaul that drastically expanded the province count in neglected theatres. It instantly became my gold standard—alas, it was never updated past game version 1.3, and my own attempts to update it became a Sisyphean struggle against future patches mixed with undiagnosed issues with the Nudger tool.

    Until now.

    After years of promises and false restarts, I am proud to announce More Provinces has been updated for compatibility with 1.11 'Barbarossa'. Adding over a thousand provinces across all continents, waging war in Brazil is no longer an exercise in masochism! Primary improvements are in South America, sub-Saharan Africa, Siberia and western China and Tibet, with overhauls to northern Canada, Central America, Iceland, Greenland, the Middle East, and the vanilla-impassable northern African and Australian territories.

    The mod loads without errors, although it hasn't been extensively tested; preliminary overview suggests that orders of battle have not been adversely affected, although some VPs and naval bases have been reconfigured based on vanilla placement. Let me know of any errors or unusual behaviour you find, especially regarding unit movement: I went through stack placement by hand and most resized provinces should be adjusted, but there may be some that slipped through the cracks.

    This is intended primarily as a modding resource, and was created as a foundation for more extensive map projects (IOT-XIV mod ahoy!); I'm not sure whether I will try to keep this updated for future game versions. Due to the scope of modified state files, it will not be compatible with most map and alternate history mods without custom patching.

    In the middle we have Casimer Whitcrest, runaway crown prince turned to pirate captain. He's a fire mage.

    On the left his his first mate and partner Caxon Thorne, a lightning mage. His family fostered Leo growing up.

    On the right is Leopold Áspez Thorne, who was born as a mer, but was magically transformed into a human to help treat his illnesses.

    - Cowboy, animal shelter worker, pacifist, overall sweetheart! A lover, not a fighter. As an agent, he doesn't shine in any areas compared to others, but he's the one that keeps the camaraderie of the agents strong.

    Agent 3 / Captain 3 Prima
    - Came from a long line of fighters for the Squidbeak Splatoon. Strong-willed and always wears a smile on her face, she's the current representative of the generation.

    Agent 8a Vanessa
    - Recovered her memories after the events of OE. Dexterous, swift, logical, and the runaway princess of the Octarian army. Has been learning to live her new life outside of princess duties.

    Agent 8b Nate
    - Rescued from one of Vanessa's missions. Has the voice of an angel (or a merman); a warm, kind, but deeply troubled heart. Has been learning to enjoy life again.

    Agent 7 Kane
    - Vanessa's mentor in the army and Nate's best friend. Was one of Octavio's finest warriors. Was exiled from the army after losing her that led to the events of OE, went to Inkopolis to live a new life and found the two. Became an agent.

    Neo Agent 3 Ezra
    - Former assassin and later on, a bounty hunter. Met his Little Buddy Masu during one of his bounty hunter missions when he quit being an assassin. Decided that life wasn't for him, wandered until he found Splatsville, and became an agent. By far, the deadliest agent.

  • A runaway prototype of W.D. Gaster that had long since abandoned her previous purpose of war. Lucida lived on her own as a young child, taking what she could to get by which included food and clothes. After a while, she gained an interest in making her own clothes, earning her title as the ‘Seamstress Maiden’.

    Yet even though the young skeleton lived alone, her interaction between the fallen humans were inevitable. Her first encounter with one of them was enough to teach her the value of self-preservation, and she thanked the gods that the Royal Guard were as vigilant as they were. She didn’t blame or hold a grudge against the human, knowing deep down they were scared for their own well-being and acted out of fear. Thus Lucida would learn to fight and defend herself.

    Lucida knew that she could manipulate bones and ice, but after seeing Medieval Movies cast down unwanted by humans from the surface, she felt the need to make a weapon of her own as a form of identity. Her weapon of choice: The Rapier. She crafted the rapier entirely out of bone, strengthening it in ice as she practiced in order to keep it from wearing as easily. On one particular day of rehearsal, she encountered a slime monster no bigger than her own two hands. Said monster appeared out of no-where, no owner, no family to call on. The skeleton grew attached to the small slime, dubbed Ploobie, now finding the fire in her heart to protect someone. The fire that fueled her desire to hone her skill, so that when the day came when she made more allies when she was older, she would be able to protect them all.

    After the aftermath of a horrific event in an entirely different timeline than her own, she has grown cold, distant, and without the company of her small companion. For familiar faces, however, she will bring down said walls over tea and food.

    tbh i had a bit of trouble with mine cuz i mainly listen to instrumental electronic music, eurodance and j-core

    the result was an anthro robot that is extremely dumb due to only being given eurodance songs to their AI to learn _(wawa's parts were leftovers from completed projects, instead of being scrapped, the researchers decided to test how a AI would behave after only learning cheesy songs just for fun)_ and that ran away after finding out her purpose was just a joke, that led to meeting my friend's oc, [Elio](https://twitter.com/VinBlairArtist/status/1526981271326494720) _(also a runaway)_, now they have sibling-like relationship and go on some wacky adventures
