Scale75 Mystic Signs - Aquarius from their Mystic Signs Kickstarter.

My Aquarius friends (and favorite artist) requested an iridescent "gasoline puddle" inspired look when I was asking for colors to use. I think his coat turned out pretty awesome!

Aquarius here marks my NINTH miniature in this series. Check out the rest on my profile, and stay tuned for the next few months for Pisces, Ares, and Taurus (plus a mysterious thirteenth sign!).

Miniature is in 75mm scale, painted by hand with acrylics. I do not own an airbrush.

Completing any art felt like feebly scratching at a wall at the time, but I got this done at least. :’) Some tweaks to Pisces’s design! Like Aquarius it was another case of “don’t fix what isn’t broken”, but I wanted to amp up the frilliness of her fins to keep with the “feathery show dancer costume meets lionfish” look that was the basis for her design in the first place, as well as giving her outfit and scales even more flow to match her shape language.

I also didn’t realize how desaturated her colours were??? I don’t know why it took me so long to notice, but I fixed that too. The colour palette is the same, just with the saturation slider moved up a bit. I think it gives her more “life”, especially in her skin tone, and with her bubbly personality a well saturated colour palette suits her. I imagine the blue accents would glow a bit in darker water, almost like bioluminescence.

And it might’ve been harder to notice with Aquarius, but now her and Pisces both have rings on their fingers! A detail like that isn’t always necessary or noticeable when it comes to stylized/simplified designs, but I wanted to add it in since they’re a couple. :’D I have a few other tweaks in mind for some of the other designs, but I’m getting close to where I feel like they’re all “finished” in my eyes, like Cassie has been for a while.

I'm doing a little series of horoscope-themed animal animations, this was the one for Pisces! IDK how well im gonna be able to keep up w another social media feed but WE'LL SEE

I drew Pisces, a pony made for February 18 to March 20 and for anyone born between those days, this one is for you. :3
I made her as merpony and added the fins since Pisces is a fish.
