Who doesn't love star gazing? An afternoon with your friends, watching a meteor shower above, with nothing but the sounds of the ocean in the distance, all so you could forget your problems if only for a little while... This was a doozy. Needed to use 3D to get a lot of posing done, and the background gave me a ton of migraines, but i like to think that I did a good job! i made my fursona ten years ago in 2013 and have continuously updated their design every year since then. for most of that time they've been a big cat, but the last two years i changed them to be a coatimundi and then a ringtailed cat. this year i decided to return to their original species combination of mountain lion x jaguar in honor of this being their 10th year existing! really pleased with this design, i think it's super fun :D plus it's nice to have them back as a familiar species. coati and ringtail were fun but i just feel better with them as a big cat again.

These are my original species that was given new life thanks to my friends. We worked together to get them back to life and I'm so happy to share them with you all. I found one of my old sketches I did back in 2018, and decided to give it some color! I didn’t really bother with the lineart too much as it’s just the original _(done with mostly pen and a little bit of pencil as highlights)_. This is Yuki, a cute lil’ oddball who’s a bit of a prankster and loves waffles and cookies! Started out as a fan character from Little Big Planet named Sacktaur(based off Sackboy), but slowly became an original character overtime. Used to be a male but as of now, it’s mostly gender neutral. I’m still in the process of developing and tweaking their character more to fit in my own universe. This is pretty close to the finalized look as it doesn’t look too much like sackboy, but I might have to change the color or add a couple of markings. I’m still on the fence about what species it's going to be now. I was going for a spirit entity like a Yo Kai or maybe a chimera, but I’m considering making an original species. It may be a long shot, but I would love to make this my job. Life is only going to get fuller and fuller, and if I have to get a job somewhere out in the world? Well, needless to say, I would have a lot less time to make what I do. I have so many ideas, and so many things I want to share with everyone. Music, an original species, a game or two, just naming a few. Stories I have yet to write, wriggling around in my mind. They may not turn out the best, but one of these days I want to bring them to fruition. So long as I live, I will work slowly to make them a reality. Even if that "work" is just planning out what to learn or who I need to find for certain projects to be the best they can be. Honing my skills, style, and timing. It will be done, even if it takes a lifetime.. Mark my words.

I had an urge to draw foxes. What was originally supposed to be some warm-up sketches before I resumed my latest page for DYOS became an unexpectedly detailed portrait of Yulia Nastunyeshyn, a character created for my very own *IOT: The Aftermath*. The game plays host to two mutant races: the iconic "furries" of the Marians, descendents of Neo-Incan gene splicing experiments, and the Kaetif, a term misappropriated from Drakkolupen's *Black Tapestries*, in this case referring to uplifted animals that were an unintended consequence of the Third World War in IOT4. Yulia belongs to the latter. Whereas the Neo-Incans were inferred to be originally human until they tinkered too much with their own DNA (albeit not *so* much that they can't interbreed; see Immanuel de Zorrito), the Kaetif remain genetically related to their original species and are thus far understood to be incompatible with either humans or the Marians. They are described as more 'feral' in appearance than the Marians, and are uniquely adapted to survive in Yellow Zone regions where radiological contamination poses a danger to other races. So this is Bluzie!! She's Lenox's younger cousin. She started off as my fursona way back in sixth(?) grade but evolved into her own character as my interests changed. She tends to be very abrasive and I have an entire story in my head about her learning to become a more serious adult and put more effort into her personal relationships. The markings on her face are because she's part of an original species I have called [Ejote](https://toyhou.se/16464400.ejote-species-info), but I'm still working on a proper species sheet for them.
