• Originally drawn 11/03/21 Re-uploading this quick drawing, as you can tell from the lack of arms, of the difference in uniforms from the Peninsula Infantry (left) and W.C. Infantry (right). When the W.C. actually got funding to make their own uniforms rather than using their old Peninsula ones/or just their civvies if they were never in the army to begin with, there was a bigger focus on camouflage (this specific uniform isn't camo, obviously but it's less striking than Peninsula's blue red combo.)

  • The frontline soldiers of the Lunar Order, the legionnaires bring the fight to Earth in their white-default combat skins which represent the high end of infantry protection systems. Me and my friends love Star Wars can't you tell?

  • i was looking through my computer to clear some space when i found an old folder titled "card game art" and it contained a whole bunch of artworks made a long while ago. because i think it's interesting, im going to post the card arts and a summary of what they do over the course of a few days. the game was clearly inspired by yugioh despite not knowing how to play it

these two cards are a part of what im guessing was a "Plant Army" archetype of sorts where it's a Plant type archetype (obviously) and seems to revolve around dealing damage while holding your ground with continuously summoning more of them so your field is never unprotected.

according to it's description, Plant Army Infantry Pea (the one on wheels) can be summoned for 30 energy and when attacking an opposing monster with higher damage points (or defense points if it's in defense), it permanently decreases the defending monster's damage or defense points by 500. when it is attacked, it's defense points go down by 1000 instead of being destroyed (until it reaches 0) but it can only attack monsters in the same lane as it.

squad pod is the next one (plant with 3 heads) and you need 50 energy or replace infantry pea on the field to summon it. it has all the effects and abilities of infantry pea except it can attack the 3 closest lanes with 2000 damage (it's so OP, geez). it requires 20 energy to attack.

there are more Plant army cards, but ill post them all later.

  • Name: Willow Ashbringer

    Nicknames: Willow the Bashful

    Age: 21

    Race: Tellurian (Human)

    Specialty: None, Infantry specialist

    Description:

A proud foot soldier with a somewhat brash and airheaded personality. Willow's astronaut-like suit is designed specifically to protect her from gas toxins and chemical gases, it isn't effective against mustard gas however. Despite calling herself "Willow the Bashful", she doesn't seem to be that timid upon combat, although she doesn't like taking off her helmet because she's not so confident in showing her face out in public. That would be a possible reason why she calls herself that said nickname.

  • Canada's frontier policemen from the *Ren & Stimpy* episode of the same name, created on the prerogative of Omega124 for *Roll II Rule*. He's actually riding a bison, as yaks aren't native to America.

Rider assembled from infantry by Fairline; mount was sporked from a Civ3 resource set by Pounder.

  • The United Provinces of the Netherlands was Civ'ed's country in the aborted *Iron and Blood 7*, modeled on the historical Dutch Republic and expanding to encompass Belgium and Luxembourg. Better-positioned to weather the Napoleonic Wars, the Republic maintained its independence into the nineteenth century, although the Dutch East India Company was disbanded and the colonial empire dismantled. As a result of antimonarchist uprisings in the 1750s, francophone territories had less representation in the Staten-Generaal, and supplied auxiliary light infantry (*Forestiers*) to overseas expeditions.

  • Female soldiers in modern Namibian field dress for *Civilization II: Test of Time*. These were created on behalf of Omega124 in preparation for the upcoming *Roll II Rule*, an Imperium Offtopicum game hosted by yours truly at CivFanatics. Further variants may be developed as the game dictates, but this provides me a basic template to mix and match kit and poses.

While various female Civ2 sprites exist, heretofore there were no 'base' models in Fairline's infantry standard. The poses were created by Tanelorn and expanded by Broken_Erika @ CFC; I transcribed the camo patterns and tweaked equipment. Namibian flag icon by Starsstock with minor correction.

The top row is the original set using Tanelorn's Angolan uniforms as a stand-in, included for posterity; the bottom row is the more authentic TAP47 ("lizard") pattern, cribbed from a French set by typhoon353. The Police Special Reserve Force uses the old British DPM desert scheme.

Weapons are accurate in service if not specific assignment, although I may have used the wrong model for the RPG.

  • Hollywood's favourite archaeologist spritified for *Civilization II: Test of Time*. I thought someone had done something similar before, but a comb through the CFC threads didn't find anything and I wasn't in the mood to navigate the labyrinth of the Apolyton archives, so I whipped this together in a surprisingly short time. Like most of these uploads, its immediate impetus was *Roll II Rule*.

Base pose and most clothing adapted from WWII U.S./Commonwealth infantry by Fairline; my additions are the whip and holding arm, jacket, satchel, and holster.

*Indiana Jones* © Lucasfilm, a wholly-owned tributary to the Disney Empire.

  • A silly little thing inspired by [this photo](http://www.uaz469.co.uk/custom/uazarmy.jpg) and a [preview image](http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/270591105728763384/EB346F34061E5C9B7C60220F87533813F2AE9430/) to the model herein, done as practice for arranging embarked groups. The end result seemed underwhelming and I debated putting it into Scraps—then I realized I hadn't added any effects.

I've been back and forth through the Gmod Workshop and I *think* I've got pretty much everything I need for Union troops, so keep your eyes peeled in DYOS...
