  • A runner Xorriyaddan. Fast and lightweight, these guys are capable of keeping up a gallop for hours at a time, OR short quick bursts of speed. They are also the only type of Xorriyaddan that tends to be lightly colored.

More info on the types of Xorriyaddans will be up on my website... eventually. There are a ton of different types, but they are all the same 'species'. Sort of like different breeds of dogs that evolved for life in different biomes. But that feels like an odd comparison to make, because Xorriyaddans are sapient people with cities and computers and high tech public transportation systems sdlkgnsdg

They have an ocular organ inside their head. Their skull functions like one-way glass, allowing them to see 360 degrees without even moving their head

  • 2019: A dnd character concept that in the end I haven't gotten to use (so far). Liadaine (they/them) was a unicorn set alongside a bloodline of aasimaar partners to protect a holy glade.

Liadaine killed a tiefling riding astride a nightmare that came galloping towards the sanctuary.

The tiefling was in truth a good person attempting to flee forced service to their demon lord parent by pledging service to a good-aligned god and seeking protection as their paladin. As punishment for their prejudice Liadaine was placed into a forced possession of the body of the tiefling until they could learn where they went wrong.

The nightmare, furious at the murder of her companion who had sworn to one day return her to pegasus form, destroyed much of the glade, fighting with Liadaine and killing __their__ aasimaar companion in turn. She was placed in the body of the aasimaar as her punishment.

The two were expelled from the glade to opposite ends of the land.

  • For once, Kaldov agreed with the announcer: he’d been hanging on the edge just seconds ago, and he’d given Vauruk a weighty wailing. They both weren’t far from blacking out.

Furtively he guarded the bloody and tender wounds of his abdomen. Furrowing his brows, he focused, finding that fuzzy look in Vauruk’s eyes, the unsubtle way in which he held his stomach. It was clear: Vauruk was hurt, and he could make use of that.

Surely, though, Vauruk was also plotting his downfall: that scrutinizing scowl he wore sold him on it. He couldn’t let Vauruk concoct a better plan.

Inhaling a mighty breath, Kaldov galloped forward. He angled his body sideward, narrowing himself, blocking with his right arm and protecting his wound with his left. Vauruk tensed and adjusted, not having the time nor composure to fly away.

“A broken stalemate: Golalud’s fast approaching. A hand flies--right over Vauruk’s head! What a dodge! And the response: a swinging right hook, just grazing Golalud’s side. Vauruk pursues: a straight, a straight--oh, both barely blocked! He knows what he’s doing; you can see it: aiming to hit Golalud right where it hurts. And, oh--there goes another! A blistering right straight!”

    But Kaldov saw it coming.

He sucked in a breath and tucked his arms in swaying his hips and twisting to the right. The fist met air just beside him. Kaldov reared back his right arm and spun on his right foot. He whirled in a wide arc--!

“*Oh!* A narrow dodge, and the wild lob’s landed. Vauruk’s stumbling! But, look: he’s still on his feet, guard raised high. No, no, he’s not done with Golalud yet!”

And Kaldov wasn’t done with Vauruk either.

    **Author's Note**:

This is a page from a comic that Vauruk(https://inkblot.art/profile/Vauruk) and I did for ArtFight 2023. It stars our boys, Kaldov Golalud (by me) and Vauruk the Formidable (by Vauruk(https://inkblot.art/profile/Vauruk)). We intend to upload the pages of this series cooperatively, alongside the accompanying writing, over the next few days. The content will include violence and mild gore, and pages containing the latter will be tagged as such when warranted.

Thanks for following along, and I hope you enjoy this!

  • Yep, more OCs. Introducing SleipStar, a sleipnir/pegasus mech that can gallop and fly at super high speeds! If you ever find yourself on their saddle, better hang on tight!

  • Lizzy was making her way downtown when the stars started to collapse around her, but one in particular caught her eye as it didn't break up until it got well past the atmosphere, and sent shards of itself all over the lands. From her viewpoint she was able to spot where most of it landed and galloped towards teh larger chunks to check out what was going on.

  • Re upload from my previous account.

February Violet from G1 Birthflower ponies http://mylittlewiki.org/w/images/0/09/February_Violet.jpg

I used chunga-stock pic from Deviantart for a reference pose but I had to change the right leg to go down as curving it up didn't come out right. ^^; http://chunga-stock.deviantart.com/art/124-WB-galloping-139864715

  • Personal project of season-themed horses.

The deepening colors of Summer include golden fields and ripening fruits. Passion flowers bloom in elegant shades of purples.
As the temperature rises, energetic jumps and gallops subside to more casual grazing with the occasional canter.

  • A show I entered a some kids in over on DA

    "Finley slow down!"

    The stallion only sped up.

Sarah tugged on the reigns urging her horse to slow down just a little. They needed to get the strides right. Finley, however, was having the time of his life and was not slowing down. He was speed. But eventually he listened, and they flew over the log. At least if they didn't get it right Sarah knew Finley would give it a go anyway, he was good at getting them out of sticky situations. The sky grew progressively darker as they galloped through the grounds of Farfield Equestrian Centre, Sarah hoped they could beat the rain forecasted for around 12:00 pm. As Finley’s energy levels dropped a little, Sarah managed to gain some semblance of control to keep the stallion moving while preserving enough energy to reach the finish line. They flew over jump after jump, Finley still as keen in the middle of the course as he was at the start. It wasn't a particularly long course, but the pair hadn't been XC in ages, only schooled once or twice a month at home.

    “Cmon’ Finley!”

The stallion had a small spook at a hare (or do they call it a rabbit here?) right before a decent sized ascending brush fence. After some hesitation and dancing legs Sarah urged Finley over it with a big leap. She held on and smiled as they headed down the final stretch. The feeling of your favorited steed flying along under you, their stride opening up, eating the ground, is one you’ll never forget. They crossed the finish line and Sarah didn’t even bother to check her watch. It was a fun run either way. Whether they won or lost she was proud of her boy and she would cherish this run. She jumped off just as her bother came a threw buckets of water over Finley rump.

    “How’d you go?” Aaron asked.

“I don’t care,” Sarah replied with a smile.

  • Today's theme is swift, and immediately the first thing that came to mind are something long and in motion.

I have never done a drawing that showcase speed, movement, or motion before, most of them are rather static.

    So I figured some blurs would work, but in the end I'm not sure this is properly conveying a sense of swiftness. At the very least, something big that could burst out of the sands and leap over a galloping horse could be seen as swift, right? ^^;
