The other day, Buizel and his trainer were playing at a local Pokepark where he was playing with his favorite beach ball that looked like a Dive Ball. While playing ball with his trainer, he hit his beach ball too hard and accidentally sent it flying away towards the trees and bushes, located quite a ways behind his trainer. Buizel went to retrieve his ball, only to have found it flat and flabby with punctures all over it and sticking out of some sticker bushes. Seeing this, he sat on the ground, devastated, and began sobbing uncontrollably. When his trainer heard him crying, they came running to their Buizel's side as fast as they could to make sure that they were okay. When they got to their Buizel, they found him on the ground, crying, and after looking around to see what was wrong or who hurt him, they found Buizel's beach ball in the sticker bushes looking like a pin cushion and beyond repair. Seeing this, Buizel's trainer made their way through the sticker bushes to retrieve Buizel's beach ball. It took a lot of effort as the beach ball was stuck onto the sticker bushes real good, but they got it off of there eventually. They then examined the ball to see if it could possibly be repaired, but it didn't take them long to see the damage done by the impact on all the sticker bushes where it landed, making the beach ball unfixable. They then stuck the flattened beach ball into their backpack, returned to Buizel's side, and then explained what happened to the beach ball and how they couldn't fix it. As Buizel continued to cry, his trainer picked him up, held him in their arms, and walked to the nearest Pokemon Center so that Buizel can let out all of his tears and his trainer could figure out where he could buy their Buizel a new replacement ball.
While sitting down inside the Pokemon Center, they continued to hold their sobbing Buizel as he layied down across his trainer's legs, trying to comfort him as he lets out his feelings. While doing so, a passerby noticed the sobbing Buizel and asked his trainer if something was wrong. Buizel's trainer then explained what happened earlier that day and why their Buizel is crying. Once they finished explaining, the passerby shared their thoughts and then gave Buizel's trainer a flier, advertising a new store that just opened up not too far away from their current location. On the face of the flier, it advertises these gigantic balls that are so huge that an average sized human can fit inside and roll around in it effortlessly. The picture displayed a man and a Dewott rolling around in 2 separate spheres side by side, looking happy as Shellders as they rolled along together. After looking at it for a bit, they stuck the flier in their backpack and continued to comfort and pet their Buizel until he eventually fell asleep.

I haven't drawn a Buizel in over 2 years. The last time I drew one was when I was still using a mouse to draw before I got myself a proper drawing tablet. Drawing them again took a bit of effort, considering the pose I was going for with them and what object I was putting them in. Before I began this drawing, I did a bit of research of the object in question and after doing a Google image search with the phrase "...before 2021" at the end of it to prevent any AI generated slop from showing up in search results, I learned from one of the search suggestions that the ball I put Buizel inside of is known as a zorb ball. After getting an image of one to use as a reference, I did a regular Google search on how to inflate one of those things so that I would know if I needed to add a valve to the zorb ball or not. Not only did I find the answer I was looking for, I also found its history, like where it originated and where it was first invented. During my research, I did learn that zorb balls are clear and don't have fancy designs, like what I drew here with turning Buizel's zorb ball into one that has the Dive Ball's design. I did that as a creative choice and to make it as believable as possible as if to ask, "What if zorb balls existed in the Pokemon world? Would they have the same designs as seen on Pokeball designed beach balls, or would they not?" Throughout the entire process, I had to figure out how to draw in 3D on a 2D plain, which I did blindfolded, figuratively speaking. I went by feel and used my own judgement to figure out if what I drew made sense and was logical while also keeping in mind how the zorb ball was going to look later when I put Buizel inside of it. It took a lot of work and playing around with transparency to get the desired look for the zorb ball. It may not be perfect, but I am very happy and proud of the results!
