  • Gallows only smokes when he's having an *incredibly* bad day. What has earned his wrath? Who knows. I just wanted to mess about with some ambient lighting of some flavour. (Lime)

  • Hello everyone!
So, I decided to join your community :)
I don’t know how many artists you have who draw DnD characters and groups, but now there is one more of them!

I will share one of my latest works:

Descent into Avernus commission for Layne J. 4 PC's ( Spencillius Mandrake, A thirteen year old Kalashtar Wizard; Gibby, Goliath Fighter; Fenric, Wood Elf Ranger; Kass, Human Fighter ), an Imp, and a Hollyphant are relaxing inside of a small, see-through dome. They rest on top of an infernal machine and look out upon the hellscape around them while they relax in safety.

Avernus is the first layer of hell, so it is a blasted landscape. The hellscape of Avernus sits under hideous clouds that obscure the vault of the sky, from which the occasional meteor streaks before crashing into the ground. Ambient light continually swells up from just below the horizon as though lit by nine setting suns, yet no actual celestial bodies fill the sky — no sun, moons, or stars. The atmosphere reeks of brimstone and burning tar, and hot gusts of wind shriek across the hellscape to scour the land below.

I'm here waiting for your feedback :)

  • Oh hey, would you look at that? A couple of things I drew last year that seemed neat!

    * There was an attempt to figure out my personal rendering process in the form of a painted fallen tree. I tried doing renders in stages of light and shadow i.e. I tried painting the tree in the following order: **Average Light + Shadow -> Half-Tones -> Reflected Light -> Ambient Occlusion**
    * I feel like my brain could parse lighting better adding when rendering if I switched to doing the half-tones first before I go all out with figuring out the parts that are obscured from the light.
    * If there was one thing I missed from switching back to Krita from CSP, it was having a pen brush with scraggly edges. Thankfully, Krita has a default brush that would suffice for that matter and you can see that with my plant doodles and the lil' Hollow Knight doodle as well.
    * Adding better shapes when thumbnailing tends to be a challenge. I feel like I should have started with a stick person base before I block out the shapes when thumbnailing character designs. To be fair, I was also figuring out a brush that would be decent while I was making the silhouettes.

Recently, I've started taking on Drawabox's 250 Box Challenge and it has been... a start. I still got a lot of boxes left so I'll try my best not to worry too much as I go on this path. With that in mind, I need to remind myself to make a list of things from the worldbuilding I've been meaning to do that I can draw for the 50% drawing session time. And, I hope I get to share some of that to y'all here!

    Context about this piece:

Well here in Latinoamérica, in late 2010's there used to be a kind of "satanic panic" with Hello Kitty, people, especially religious adults started to say she was from the the devil because they saw a badly done creepypasta video on youtube, and that scared the **** of me when i was a kid (i was raised in a very christian ambient).

Now that i'm older i realize how stupid that was, i felt nostalgic so so i made this drawing.

    WooOOO Hello Kitty scArY

  • She wasn’t a veteran explorer but she wasn’t a newbie either. She wouldn’t be an easy prey for any predator, she thought when she felt as if something was watching her. She cast her gaze all around her, determined not to be taken by surprise. And indeed, she saw no danger approaching her or hiding in the canopy. But so focused was she on what was around her that she neglected to look down at her own feet and only noticed the fresh buds and branches growing at rapid speeds when they had already wrapped themselves around her wrists and were slowly snaking up her leg.

It was only at this moment that the danger revealed itself. A dryad appeared before her as if she had sprouted from the ground right here, right now. The poor explorer was in shock but quickly tried to free herself from her binds. Her attempts only became more forceful and erratic as the dryad parted her lips and opened her mouth wide, making her intentions clear. No matter how much the explorer struggled, the plants would not give way. The hope slowly drained from her as the dryad moved ever closer, her tongue stretched out as if reaching for her prey.

“This is it, it’s over!” she thought as her hackles raised from the warm, sweet breath washing over her skin. Oh how right she was

This was December's Patron poll winner! I tried to implement more ambient light into my shading and I think it turned out well even if it is subtle.

I hope you guys like it and thank you to everyone who voted!

  • Even after you get married he will always do his best to make you swoon or laugh! Here's a silly karaoke night sliding around in his socks with wine!

In this image set I have 3 variants! Friend with all the fixin's (Sunglasses, Ambient Dust, Song Lyrics), A flatter version without those, and then the background by itself!
