I'm giving up on Inkblot. I'm disappointed. This was a really interesting project, and I was excited to support it. With DeviantART an AI wasteland, I was eager to find another gallery site that supported NSFW content, and IB fit that bill perfectly. But lately it's just been constant delays and weeks on end with no movement or updates from the team, and my patience has run dry. I've left the Discord server and cancelled my Substack subscription. This account will remain, though, in the off chance that things turn around and this place prospers once again. And truly, I hope it does. I have no quarrel with Jay or the IB team and I truly do hope they work to become more active and make this place what it was meant to be. Started reworking on this Truck artwork since the original was lost in a computer crash that I'd had last year, luckily, I had parts of the Base saved in a Flash drive and started to remake it in order to upload on to InkBlot Art since I can't get a copy of the original artwork onto here, so I'd had to remake it. the Artwork is base around the Skoda Xena which was built by Skoda Liaz which was a Company in the Czech Republic that use to built a number of Commerical Vehicles from Buses, Trucks, Trains, & Military Equipment, now these days Skoda just make Cars with Volkswagen. Oh my god for the last 20 days I thought Inkblot "went live" and broke again because inkblot.art just displays a gray screen like last time. I just assumed it was broken and once again staff were not responding publicly about it in a timely manner like usual. And then I find out just now that it's because the url is beta.inkblot.art now. What a circus.

So uhhh...not feeling this new site design. Was kind of hoping for an old deviant art vibe when I joined this. Now it just kinda feels like every other social media site I could put art on, instead of y'know, a site for art. Also none of my posts transferred cleanly and I don't really feel like fixing them when the site is clearly not finished. Might just break them all again;;; Sucks because I was really hoping for a new spot that could do this better than tumblr. But I think I won't be posting on here until this site gets itself sorted out. I will probably check back in every so often to see if it decides on something I want to post art on again. This was a commission for the same discord friend as our latest uploaded! He wanted his human pokemon trainer Tag in a pose, ready to go, with all of his team surrounding him. When he said "I want 7 characters for this commission!" I felt the chillest cold that I've ever felt. Of course I said "You got it, boss!" and then spent the next 11 hours of work (Which of course were 90% on the shading) and finally getting it done! Done entirely in Krita with no 3D posing! Ngl it's been a week since the 2.0 release and I'm disappointed to see there still hasn't been a single CLEAR improvement in sight. Idk if the team is still as small as it was before but like. I have to sadly agree with some criticism I've seen on the main page. It's sad to see that a new version of the website was pushed out when it clearly isn't functional, and I'm wondering why the staff decided to revamp it into looking like a mashup of other social media websites like FB and Twt. Reactions?? Rlly?? Why am I still not able to upload a banner and why did it make an independent post the one time it seemed to work? Why did it delete the banner when I tried to hide my post from my timeline??? Why is there a 'followers' tab before my gallery (that's not even called gallery) and why do I have to click a button to see past 6 previews of the most recently posted art? Is this not a website dedicated to art and creative stuff? Why does it not show my gallery proper? Is the activity so damn low on the website rn that it keeps looping to the same things I've been seeing for the past 7 days? Or have people been posting and I don't see anything? And why is it that some users seem to be fine with uploading stuff and others aren't? Maybe I'm just ignorant about the current situation or what the staff is up to but I would've sincerely preferred to wait longer than to face the excitement of a new version, only to immediately eat disappointment. I've always loved the initiative they had in creating a safe space for artists given how most platforms are going to sh!t, but idk man. In any case, I'm going back to my corner on twt, IG and bsky lol. I shall be waiting for news but will stop checking every 2 days if I can upload a banner or simple image 😂
