About the tree Eve takes fruit from, the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and the serpent. I don’t personally see their interaction as the serpent telling Eve to eat the fruit, but as the snake telling her she was being lied to about the fruit and the nature of it. Eating it and thus initiating into what the forbidden tree had to offer was her decision. From day 1 of the #devotionalarts2021 challenge over on insta/twitter: prayer. It’s weird thinking about how I technically qualify for this challenge even though the beings I work with don’t like the title of ‘gods’. To me prayer symbolizes a creative act that I’m sharing with them to build on a foundation of connection, and has little to do with myself beneath them.From day 1 of the #devotionalarts2021 challenge over on insta/twitter: prayer. Delighted to finally post this first entry in my satanic icon series. The Whore of Babalon, the Scarlet Woman, Eisheth Zenunim, Lilith the elder, Lady Satan is known by many names. I was going to include the dragon she rides from the Book of Revelation but decided I want this one to be just of her. Currently awaiting the proofs for the gold foil edition prints of this, which will be in the shop!Delighted to finally post this first entry in my satanic icon series. Recreation of one of my favorite medieval woodcut prints from the Malleus Malleficarum. No matter how fancy the language they use in the book is this scene is never not funny to me, it essentially says one way witches make offering to the Devil is by literally kissing his ass.
