About the tree Eve takes fruit from, the tree of knowledge of good and evil, and the serpent. I don’t personally see their interaction as the serpent telling Eve to eat the fruit, but as the snake telling her she was being lied to about the fruit and the nature of it. Eating it and thus initiating into what the forbidden tree had to offer was her decision. (Extra sin points to those who can tell what this image is referencing ;-) )
