The same character as the previous post, made in Blender+Marvelous+Substance Painter, 12k tris on the body, though subdivided twice for this render.
I'm not sure if it's possible to upload multiple images in one post, I'll keep this separate for the moment. The same character as the previous post, made in Blender+Marvelous+Substance Painter, 12k tris on the body, though subdivided twice for this render. Made a winter coat in Marvelous over the course of a day, to get more familiar with the program. The design is mostly the "Hydrus Coat Redux" from Moodfabrics, with a few small changes.
I wasn't sure about the colour, but this'll do.

This piece started out as a simple sketch of the head, and I liked where it was going, so I started making the body, and here we are.
I had a bunch of ideas for the pose and setting, but eventually I settled on him escaping the mines, which turned out pretty well.
Sculpt & retopo & rig & hair & additional modelling & render done in Blender.
Loincloth done in Marvelous Designer.
Textures mostly in Substance Painter, good mix of hand-painted & procedural.
12k tris on the body, though I used a subdivision level higher during the painting & clothing creation, for better results. This piece started out as a simple sketch of the head, and I liked where it was going, so I started making the body, and here we are. Uploading some older art, I made this mostly in Blender, except for the clothing, which was done in Marvelous.
There's a lot of technical mistakes, but that is what it is.Uploading some older art, I made this mostly in Blender, except for the clothing, which was done in Marvelous. There's a lot of technical mistakes, but that is what it is.0 Comments 0 Shares 7 Views -
Work in progress fan-art of Ormi, a character from Final Fantasy X-2.
Always loved his design ever since I played the game years ago, so I wanted to make fan-art of him.
Base sculpt & retopo & UV's made in Blender, additional detail in Zbrush.
30k tris, though most will be hidden under his to-be-made clothing and gear.Work in progress fan-art of Ormi, a character from Final Fantasy X-2. 3D model of a horse I made a while ago, almost entirely done in Blender, except for the baking and some of the texture work, which were done in Substance Painter & Designer.
It's about 19k tris, and has a basic rig.
I should be able to get it to look a little bit better in the future, once I figure out how to make the new hair system in Blender conform better to the deformed body, as that's the big problem with it right now; this was made with the legacy hair system.3D model of a horse I made a while ago, almost entirely done in Blender, except for the baking and some of the texture work, which were done in Substance Painter & Designer.
