Today's palette is from a fabric print from 1905. The pattern is a very dense kind of paisley-ish damask, which I, personally, would like better if the palette were more diverse. But I like the palette in general!
I do love birds, and almost as soon as I saw this palette I knew it was going to be a finch. I suspected it could be either a house finch or a purple finch, but double-checked the house finch first because we used to have a mating pair that nested in our porch light at our previous apartment and it worked! I really enjoyed revisiting the Toulouse Lautrec-ish style as well.
The next palette is one I was really looking forward to when I started this project because it's basically a pastel rainbow.
