Something about getting unusually sick in March of 2020 (with what, I am still unsure of) unlocked something peculiar in my head. I've felt both more methodical about what I want out of painting and more '**** around and find out' about it. Which probably doesn't make much sense, but I doubt these things are meant to.

I recall wondering if this might be the last painting I did because I was being overly dramatic, but there was nothing negative about the experience--just a mildly unearthly flow state.
