I attempted to post a gif animation, but it didn't play back upon upload. Is this a known issue, or are GIFs not supported at this time?

Edit: it's possible that it's an app problem, I should try on the website instead first...

Edit 2: the app definitely broke the GIF, it posted fine on the web.
