The body horror here is symbolic and is supposed to represent spiritual death/decay. I agonized over this piece for MONTHS before finally nailing down how I wanted to approach it. It was more of less a matter of gathering my thoughts and narrowing things down to what felt right. It was a lot of fun to work on and want to try making more art like this. Not entirely sure if I’m happy with the rendering? It’s okay I mean I like some parts a LOT and other parts I kinda glaze over haha. Still not that satisfied with how I render blood, BUT I do think I’m starting to understand it a little better maybe… just a little lol
