Last year I made a fanart piece for my favorite artist, Ryoichi Itou, around this time of year: to my surprise I had finished it only a couple days from his birthday, and I decided that it would be an impromptu birthday present for him, which he loved. This year I decided to make him another piece based on my favorite garage kit model of his, intending it to be a birthday gift this time, I’m very pleased with how it turned out.
