They reached the level of Arch Fae and wanted a piece that had some dark tones within it. I was happy to oblige! I know there's not a whole lot of dark art in my current portfolio but a lot of my old art contained blood, darkness, high contrasts, etc. I was a little edgelord (still am!) and this made my inner emo child happy to paint. I loved figuring out how to design her new costume, and planning her back lit atmosphere. In the end I ended up making shading on her a little lighter than I originally had and I feel like it gives the whole piece a little eerie tone while still being hauntingly beautiful.
