A design put together for my lovely girlfriend of her sona! The entire vibe was sunset, and I wanted something with an air of grace and serenity (since i'm all edges and sharp bits). She's also got a pretty crown/halo that just floats above her head (it's optional). I'd say I did a pretty good job!A design put together for my lovely girlfriend of her sona! Here we go, the first commission I've been asked for in about two years! I like to pretend I've only gotten better in time, you know~! I've never designed a griffon before, so it was interesting, especially considering the challenge of making a beak that doesn't look like either a party hat glued to the face or a muppet mouth. I wanted the back legs to not look like hot ass, so I ended up doing a lot of research into tiger legs. I'd say I'm pretty proud of this one, he certaintly has the sarcastic, smug sass I wanted to bring to the character. This was a commission for morninghaiku on Tumblr, a really cool blog that posts haikus! An art payment for PickleCream on TH, featuring their character Verdell! It's just a quiet, intimate scene of him baking some sort of something, probably cookies if I had to guess! It took longer than I'd wanted to to, since I got super sick and then was juggling it and work.
