Original Description:
... Yeah, I have no idea what else to call this drawing. I can't think of a better title. I thought of titling it "Any requests?" as if he's offering to play you a song (not helped by the unintentional bedroom eyes and small smile). I also thought of simply calling it "The Shamisen Player" - but that seemed too basic and boring. So screw it, "Untitled Espio Drawing" it is since I can't commit to naming it, and because I keep giggling at the phrase "Karmas your Chameleon"!

This was actually my first time drawing the purple people eater of Team Chaotix! Please tell me how I did and how I can improve!

Current me, in February 24th 2023:
This was the first time I drew Epsio from the Sonic franchise! Still figuring InkBlot out and hoping traffic increases, and I'm starting out by reposting my fanart pieces on here!

This is for #2022SonEliseWeek on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/12Neonlit_stage/status/1546505410991063041?s=20&t=IE5WcZm_-R6y9XNRyE6JUQ), day 4. The prompt was cosplay! As soon as I saw cosplay as a prompt, I knew I had to draw Elise in a Sonic hoodie, or some kind of couple's costume for Sonic and Elise. But being a little rusty on drawing Sonic, I chose to focus on Elise in a Sonic hoodie and Sonic lurking in the background.

Was also going to add a blush in digital (since once again I found myself editing this digitally to smooth out some colors, and even the background and Sonic are digital), but I haven't done blush in a long time so I said screw it and didn't use blush in the final image.

(For the record: I don't really ship these two romantically since I don't think they're a convincing couple in the version of 06 we got, but I do like them as friends, and I can buy their relationship in 06 as a deep friendship between a sheltered princess who wants a little bit of adventure in her life, and an adventurous 3 foot 3 hedgehog man. Plus I'm generally a sucker for the human woman and short anthropomorphic animal man pairing - it appeals to my little vintage heart. But yeah... For me, they're just friends on a deep level/friends where the friendship was founded on emotional support that find themselves being goofs once in a while)

I felt inspired looking at Hatoful Boyfriend art on the Hatoful Boyfriend Wiki and decided to recreate one drawing of The King that was for a Hatoful Boyfriend advent calender?! I remember this game being such an innocent, wonderful joke, and it came back to mind recently and I never knew there was so much more art from the creator of that game, or that it had official merch!

But yeah, simple whim decision painting done on a tiny square canvas I had on hand.

Got a new PC! I'm still setting a lot of things up with it, still gotta download a lot of software and games I use/play, but I'm also taking the new start to really organize all my pose reference folders that have been in need of a good down and dirty organization from the ground up for the past decade or so!

The feeling of working with a new machine is anxiety inducing, but it's also fun working with this blank canvas, and learning about technology in the process!

(In other words: I took a photo of my Puro plush with a bowl of sugar cookies I made and cut out like dog bones. Puro's a latex wolf and wolves are doggos, so I figured I'd pose him with them since he's a good boy! And we all know good boys get good boy snacks! Funny enough, I was originally gonna post my Werehog plush with the cookies, but his big chonky arms made him hard to pose, so I used Puro instead and that worked out well with the white blanket as backdrop!)

This a repost of a piece of Dust: An Elysian Tail art I originally posted on [DeviantArt](https://www.deviantart.com/authorsanthora/art/Dust-to-Dust-922232002) and [Twitter](https://twitter.com/AuthorSanThora/status/1546738419887489024?s=20&t=Xvr2iGrk-0ccA75mITkeBg). It was done on cavas with acrylic paint, but the crazy thing is that the process of scanning this into the computer ended up giving tha rainbow effect! Not sur ehow, but definitely added something to the piece!

Original Description from DA: Some more Hatoful Boyfriend inspired art, after looking at some of the art on the Hatoful Boyfriend Wiki!

Fun fact: the canvas this was painted on was actually irregular. Wasn't a perfect square, instead some of the sides were longer and jutting out compared to the others. It looks fine in person, but when scanned into the computer, it definitely got scanned in at a weird angle due to the canvas's uneven measurements. As a result of it being scanned in uneven, there was a chunk I cropped out.

Can't to much about irregular or deformed canvas that's only like that due to manufacturer's error, so I made do with it the best I could. Also found a nice corner for it in my apartment that this little guy can call home!

Current me in 2023: Hatoful Boyfriend and it's more minimalist bird styles used in the merch and in Holiday Star really give off holiday vibes sometimes, doesn't it?

**Original description from August 13, 2022:** _Dwelling an a nest, surrounded by my own despair as the world burns around me, spiraling by my lonesome, my mind a fog. And this this fog of my mind, I wish I felt nothing so things could be easier. Perhaps if my heart turned to stone and I felt nothing at all, things would be better and I could go on living - not to anyone's standards - but to live for the sake of living, if I can live at all... Perhaps my life might improve if I just couldn't care._

**EMO shenanigan deep thoughts aside:** this is actually the first drawing I'm ever submitting to a contest! The prompt/theme of the contest was to sum up your feelings regarding the Covid pandemic and life post-Covid. **I know for a fact I'm going to lose since I never win anything**, and originally I wasn't going to take part in it at all, but with the deadline being a lot closer than I had realized (August 15th) and my recent bout of negative feelings about life in general, I guess that became decent fuel for doing a drawing.

But yeah, I don't expect to win and I suppose this was a bit of a vent piece with about 3 years worth of frustration and longing put into it.

If I win, cool I guess, I think the prize was getting a letter to confirm you win and getting put on the cover of a newsletter - but I never expect to win anything. My expectations are so low, they're in the negatives. If anything, I expect to lose to a toddler or something comedically ridiculous like that. But I mean I drew this thing anyway and I enjoyed making it, so if it fits the theme, might as well submit it and see what happens.

**CURRENT ME IN JUNE 2023:** Every now and then, I look at this piece and I'm both proud of it, and I'm pained by seeing it. As I expected, I didn't win the contest (not that I cared in the first place), but the reason why this piece of art brings me pain is because it constantly reminds me of my emotional turmoil when it comes to trying to present and make a name for myself as either a normal artist, or a disabled artist... It's an incredibly sore subject for me since my art doesn't get many eyes on it in the first place, so being a "normal" artist makes me feel like I'm getting no where, but being a "disabled" artist first and foremost (despite my actual disability), feels like a crutch and feels like I'm only gonna get attention out of pity or "social justice points".

Being an artist online is hard enough these days, and my struggling with what label I should present myself with makes it even harder...

I'll also have to update my signature on this piece, since I still have the raw rile.

Drew Wonder Bread as an anime waifu! I tried to delve deep into vintage Wonder Bread ads for some of the details, and I ended up creating my best gijinka ever (even "The Wonder Bread Guy" approved)! I really wanna make that dress in real life, but I'd either need a lot of fabric + appropriate dress patterns OR I'd need to find a good dress similar to the one in the picture in white (or white with blue details) and then sew on the dots and other details myself. I also kinda wanna make that toaster design as a purse, but I need a lot of interfacing to make it boxy - but things like straps and zippers wouldn't be a problem thankfully!

I made this before I'd end up befriending "The Wonder Bread Guy", but it was this drawing that ended up getting his attention, I thanked him in Twitter DMs (since it had felt like a long time since my art got traction or appreciation), and a long-distance friendship built upon bread memes, art, writing, and shared struggles kinda blossomed from there. I was never scared of him since he's been public about how much he supports human artists, and even those he's gotten commissions from trust him enough to work with him based on credit or past commission history. It was a weird, memey honor for him to notice my art, and he's actually a really nice guy!

Besides that, this was originally posted to my Twitter and Devaintart. I've since decided to repost it here, in addition to places like my Tumblr and the Mastodon I rarely use... I hope to do more bread girls in the future!
