This is actually a redraw of a Cutegirltober illustration I did in 2021. I really loved the origianl image when I made it but never did anything with the character. I still really enjoy her design but I wanted to try something different with the background since origianlly I didn't have musch on an idea.

Wow. My first post on inkblot, I hope I can keep up with it! I'll have a lot of posts to catch up with my Twitter and Instagram but I'm excited to see how this site goes.

I started rewatching Ouran High School Host Club after listening to the Shojo Sundae podcast. They began reviewing the anime so it put me in the mood to rewatch!
I didn't watch the anime as a kid but it felt like a quintessential anime during it's time. When I finally saw it everything about it just clicked for me! The comedy, messages, and expecially the art still defines a classic 2000s anime for me. I strongly belive that if there is a reboot they shoudl try to preserve the original animation style because it is so unique and pleasing still!
Anyway, I decided to redraw Haruhi and Tamaki in their style to understand what I like about it. Drawing Haruhi made me realize that I probably picke up parts of the style subconciously. The eyes on this one, man. I did this specifically to get more into a "shoujo eye" look and I think I accomplished it.

When I was a kid I only had volume 2 of Tokyo Mew Mew. I was really into it, especially the art! I would like at this page over and over again. So I redrew it! The only thing is that I used a screenshot from a manga upload site and it actually had more than just the age to it. Haha, oh well! Ranma 1/2 was the first manga I read and definitely a big inspiration for my art nowadays. I remember looking at this illustration in volume 4 a lot. I did a few studies last year, I ought to do more!

It's March but I figured I should post this sooner rather than later! I did originally post this on January so it's not like I'm that late lolol.
This is the second year I've made goals like this for myself. Last year I set some high goals to try to push myself. I didn't get to a lot of goals so I've tried to reign it back more this year. It's still out of my comfort zone a bit but also achievable!
As of now I'm making progress with mostly the Art and Personal goals. Particularly with Art I've been working on some comics, adding more backgrounds to things, and making my own stickers! My art has come a long way since I picked up digital art, and I'm excited to keep going!It's March but I figured I should post this sooner rather than later!
