Say hello to Annie, the gooey shapeshifting bear! Also known to science as Zeta-1. She’s a scientist/mutagenics expert and Drex's best friend.

She must exert some of her strength at all times maintaining her shape so she’s constantly dripping and pulling herself back together. She moves around slow and plodding like cold molasses. Zeta-1 is the name given to her by other scientists when they classified her as the first of a new species.

The mysterious CEO of DrexCorp has arrived! Originally from a desolate slime-filled planet, a falling meteorite struck a small puddle of goo and gave it sentience, and Drex was born! He scoured the universe in search of other life until arriving on Earth, but when he eventually got there, it was already in shambles. The Earthling creatures that still lived there were barely clinging to life.

Drex never really cared for the details; something about a virus, global warming, angry politicians, nuclear war... All Drex knew upon his arrival was that these Earthlings needed a (gooey) hand. Just a small sample of his highly adaptable alien DNA and mutagenic science leapt beyond anything the Earthlings had ever previously accomplished. Together with his lead scientist, Annie, DrexCorp works tirelessly to help mutate Earth's surviving residents to adapt to their new environment.

Drex himself doesn’t handle the day-to-day operations of his laboratories, leaving the somewhat mentally unstable Annie in charge (for better or worse). Instead, he wanders the wasteland in his sturdy yellow raincoat seeking out other survivors.
