  • My first D&D character ever, a rogue scout named Vira Rae who's forsaken their family name so they can live life on their terms. They're a thief with a robin hood mentality and freely give away what they've stolen to those who need it.

They come from a noble family, but do not disclose or discuss this with others outside their most trusted allies. It was a restrictive and sheltered life that they have no love for, and with the exception of their younger brother who escaped that life alongside them, all ties with their blood family have been severed. They've gone to great lengths to keep themself and their brother safe from the prying eyes of their mother, in particular. Not an easy task, given that she's a cleric and has many ways to get what she wants.

This picture was such a pain in the ass to work on. It was one of those things that I only hated the more I worked on it. However, looking at it now, months later, I can't say I'm unhappy with how it turned out.

  • In the original iteration of Vira's story, they and Captain Shae Lockhart were in a relationship together. She helped them get away from their family and once enough distance was put between Vira and their hometown, the two of them wound up staying (temporarily) apart for safety reasons until Vira was sure what they wanted to do.

Current iteration: They're still together, but rather than Shae being at sea while Vira stays on land, Vira is a full time member of Shae's pirate crew, serving as her sailing master. Vira's little brother, Matty, stays aboard the ship as a simple passenger as he's still rather young.

Shae Lockhart is a bold and ambitious pirate captain who suffers no fools, has absolutely no filter, and loves her crew like family.

It's all a work in progress, obviously, but I'm far too attached to Shae to give her up. Her existence goes back a lot further than Vira's, but as I was dealing with a rather stubborn art block at the time I imagined her, I just never got around to making any character art of her. I'm hoping to have some new art of her soonish.

  • The content warning may not be entirely accurate, but y'know. Just to be safe.

I revisit this image from time to time. It's just simple vent art, but it wound up being the best depiction of how my anxiety (and the breakdowns that happen as a result of it) makes me feel that I think I've ever made. It's sadly appropriate right now too as I'm struggling to be "okay" with certain things and my desire to make new things has been absolutely dead in the water as a result.

I've not been interested in growing my platform for a long, long time. I'd like to reach people that like what I do of course, I'm sure most artists do, but ultimately, if I'm just creating for me, that's good enough. But something happened recently that's made me question whether or not I even want to keep doing that, at least publicly.

Until I'm sure what I want though, I plan on continuing to share my old work here as it gives me something to do.

I know this got a little depressing and I don't plan on making a habit out of it. ****'s been rough and I gotta use the outlets I have.

  • I've been working on this on and off for a while and only just got around to shading it. I'll add lighting later, but this is good enough for now.

  • Hiiiii I'm still doing stuff I promise lol.

This one's been done for a while, but I haven't posted it. I was originally gonna add an actual background, but I did not have the spoons before and I still don't now, so. Here it is.

  • Why not.

I've been meaning to make a ref sheet of Violet for a long time, but never finished anything . Finally sat down for a while to take care of it. I did a lot of editing and undoing and redoing of things and I'm sick of looking at it now, so out into the world it goes lol.

  • I had a lot of fun with this one. The colors were fun to work with and the design was fun to come up with. Echo's existed for a while, but I tweaked their design a lot. They definitely weren't moth-like before, and I love moth-like fairies, so I'm glad I changed course with their design.

  • Me and my partner Versus‘ D&D dhampir characters that hopefully we’ll get to use at some point lol.

Eirian (left) is mine, and they’re a Spirits bard. Isana (right) is Versus’ and she’s a Phantom rogue. I'm keeping backstory details offline for now, but I'm still excited about these two nonetheless.

Backgrounds are not my strongsuit and I make no attempts to hide this. Still, overall I’m still happy with how this turned out.

  • Astrual (left) and Lux (right). Eladrin druid and Changeling wizard. Romantic partners and seasoned adventurers.

Lux was my player character in an long since completed campaign that started off with Curse of Strahd and ended with our party defeating the King in Yellow. It was absolutely wild and if I could play through it again, I happily would.

A few sessions prior to that climactic fight, Lux met Astrual, a resident of the Feywild at the time, while they were tending to the gardens outside the Summer Palace, and developed an instant crush. Later that same session, they bumped into each other again at a party hosted by Queen Titania herself. Astrual then proceeded to be an utterly shameless flirt, leaving Lux with no idea of what to do with themself. Nonetheless, they happily reciprocated, and eventually the two of them left the party together.

That little fling turned into actually romantic feelings later on, and Lux used their jeweler's kit to make a necklace for Astrual using silver and a massive teardrop cut alexandrite stone. After receiving it from Lux, who wasn't sure if they'd come back alive from the King in Yellow fight (they almost didn't, our paladin saved them lol), Astrual held them tight and kissed them. It was very gay and cute, and a scene I mentally revisit a lot.

I have plans for these two in a campaign of my own. Not sure when it'll see the light of day as spoons are in short supply, but I love them too much to have their story end there.

  • Because of course my namesake would be my first upload - my shapeshifter and vtuber avatar on twitch, Violet Violence.

I made some changes to the colors for convenience reasons and then subsequently decided I actually liked this look better. The jeans used to be a faded blue, the shoes and shirt were black, and the sleeveless vest was a dark gray. I liked how it looked, but it presented an issue relating to Violet's story - they literally can't be anything BUT purple. It was a flaw that came about during their creation. Initially, I thought it would be good enough for them to simply shift AROUND their clothes, but that sounded more and more annoying to work with the more I thought about it. So I axed it and opted for this approach instead. Their clothes are just part of their body now.

I've worked on more stuff since this was made, but I still consider this my best work so far. I enjoyed working on it and I'm happy with how it turned out.

  • It's about time I posted this thing here too.

So a while back, I thought it'd be fun to rework Eirian's character and abilities a little bit to make them fit better into a universe I absolutely love - Hellsing. That fun idea turned into something bigger than I expected as the special interest bug latched on and refused to let go. At this point, I've written SO MUCH about Eirian's role and abilities in Hellsing's universe that I consider it their default.

They're still a dhampir of course. Their original backstory is still intact for the most part, with Isana, their half-sister, stealing them away from their mutual sire and raising them in secret. As far as everything else, I'd like for their music to still be central to their abilities and who they are, but sound manipulation could be tricky to implement given what we know of vampiric powers in Hellsing (at least the ones that aren't artificial). And they're still plenty strong without such a thing as is, so who knows.
