My first and main fursona, Velindra-Jay Hedgehog and her emotional support creature (ESC) Fluffy, a Dutch Angel Dragon on a run throughout the landscape of the Grey Zone on Valanciana Island (2021).

Been developing her origins/background story for a little over 35+ years now, and this is one of many images I've been chipping away at since returning to doing digital art on a part-time basis after longterm eyesight issues (take care of your eyes - you need them!)

This was done as a 3 - 4 layer experiment in Procreate; yes, the background itself is all on one single layer and I'm probably never going to do that again because it was kinda hellish and there's still missing pixels here and there; but it was fun designing all that detail. The sketch was started in early 2017/completed late 2019, and the colour version started in 2020/flats completed in late 2021. The shaded/final details version was completed late last year during the Christmas rush, a nice calming activity during what was the equivelant of absolute heck and back.

I'm probably not going to fix anything else on this one, apart from maybe trying to fix a few more pixels (depending on how my eyesight wants to play, aha), so I'm calling it done.
