  • Before Pride Month is over, I suppose I should share my watercolour piece for the occasion! My piece for this year is a trans faerie, trying on a long rainbow cloth amidst the bellflowers in my garden. I hope you'll like him and his pet hoverfly!

I wouldn't recommend painting a transparent Pride flag with watercolours unless you're extremely well prepared! As it turns out, I was not. Imagine me screaming and crying internally while covering my sins with white acrylic gouache.

On a slightly more serious note, it hasn't been an easy year for LGBTQ+ people. If you're queer in any way, know that you matter more than you think. Take care!

  • Hello there! This is my first post on Inkblot! :D I'm Kael, an illustrator based near Strasbourg, France. I do both traditional and digital art, and what you're seeing here is a picture of a watercolour piece I finished this Spring.

I was fiddling with my page's palette, and thought I'd upload something befitting the colour scheme I chose! I love teal. This was a character test painting of a merman based on a blue lingcod, in preparation for a larger watercolour piece. Said larger piece is featured in the [Fathoms Mermay Zine, currently available on Ko-fi until the 26th of June.](https://ko-fi.com/s/e9efa51925)

I might post a little preview of the larger piece a little bit later!
