I gave human Vlad a much more casual look to make him seem more approachable for the purpose I had in mind for him. A Packers sweater and a pair of khakis to show he's still kind of a geek. Plasmius's outfit is camped way up from his original design. He has a jabot, waistcoat, and epaulets now as a way to show he's more style over substance whereas Danny's design is more about practicality.
The third design on the far right isn't from anything in the show but rather something from my own re-imagining of the series. In short, it's a fake ghost form he constructed to show to Danny to earn his trust and manipulate him. All the colors in this design are pulled from Danny's Phantom palette much like how in some fiction, shapeshifters can only look like things they've already seen before.

Ivy is the heart of the group and the one who keeps everyone together more or less. She's an amateur filmmaker and a damn good seamstress and costume designer. She has a passion for fantasy that started when her dad would read The Hobbit as a bedtime story to her as a kid. She once went as Bilbo for Halloween for three years straight that's how dedicated she is.

These redesigns were a lot of fun! I wanted to give her human design a much more skater girl kind of look with the baggy pants and Vans. I also opted for giving her pigtails instead of a ponytail because honestly they're just cuter. For her ghost design I wanted to take her sporty aesthetic and mix some fashion into it since this outfit was probably either designed or commissioned by Vlad and I doubt he would let any child of his wear coveralls. Most of her colors are pulled from Danny's palettes except for the reds which are from Vlad's.

Joey is the ray of sunshine when his friends are having a grey day. He's also the only one with a car and his license, but it's not the only reason why they hang out with him. He has a real knack for woodworking and prop making, and he likes to whittle small animal figures out of scrap pieces for his friends. He's also really into rhythm games and EDM.

Jazz is pretty much unchanged; I just changed a few details and added more blue to her outfit (to make up for the fact you can barely see her headband at this angle).
Much like with Phantom, Jack and Maddie both got coveralls to replace their spandex jumpsuits for practicality. Also made Jack a DILF oops not sorry about it.

My redesign of Danny Fenton and his ghost counterpart. I've always loved Danny Phantom growing up and a few months ago I thought I would take a crack at some redesigns! I'll keep my notes brief, but this is essentially how I would normally go about designing a character. I like to think of what's practical and comfortable for them first and then think of the style aspect second. For instance: I gave him coveralls with pockets and kneepads instead of a spandex jumpsuit.

All of the redesigns I've done as of this point are a few months old, and I haven't redesigned any of the ghosts yet, but hopefully uploading my work here will reignite this project!

Just gonna lump the rest of these together in one post since they kind of all go together as supporting characters at Casper High. I'll just do a lightning round of design notes.

Paulina: Made her outfit more suited for fall weather and added butterfly clips for extra early 00's authenticity. Inspirations are the plastics from Mean Girls and Willow Pill's entrance look from Season 14 of Rupaul's Drag Race.

Star: Made her outfit more sporty to give her a personality instead of just being a blonde popular girl. Also gave her a knee brace because for some reason there was always that sporty girl who played volleyball or softball and always had a knee injury or something.

Dash and Kwan: Evil Preppy Bill and Ted kind of thing going on here. Dash is mostly unchanged, and Kwan has a different haircut that was popular at the time. Also made Kwan's skin less yellow because YIKES that original design.

Again, Lancer and Tetslaff have outfits that are better suited for fall with Lancer's sweater vest and Tetslaff's Sue Sylvester-esque tracksuit. The one on the far right is Harriet Chin who was only really in "Bitter Reunions" so I decided in my version she's much more relevant as an English teacher who also oversees the school newspaper!

Luna is a fiery little ball of rage. If it weren't for her friends keeping her out of trouble, she would certainly be in juvenile detention or reform school or something with how often she acts out. She isn't all bite though, she can actually be enjoyable to be around. When her friends aren't available, she likes to explore abandoned buildings and leave behind little trinkets and graffiti tags. Oh yeah and she also has ferrokinesis.

Sorry for the brief hiatus! I'm back to upload the rest of my Danny Phantom redesigns! For Sam and Tucker I wanted to make them look like 14 year olds in 2004 since I always thought their designs in the show was more older high schooler or younger college student. I also gave them outfits that better suit the cooler autumn vibes that are present throughout the series. Moreso for Sam than Tucker since Tucker was already pretty suited for colder weather.

Ollie is a snarky, loud-mouthed, artistic kind of disruptive teenager. His favorite pass-time is doing anything to piss off his mom. He unironically enjoys Limp Bizkit and just "angry white boy" music in general. But it's all just a front to hide that deep down he is a sensitive soul. He takes out his emotions on the canvas with his works inspired by Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat. His main goals in life are to move out of Salt Flats, and to get his work in the MoMA.

Ash is a 15-year-old amateur photographer with an interest in ghosts and cryptozoology. They and their mom just moved to the town of Salt Flats, Texas in the summer of 2001. If they had it their way, they would just stay inside all day and not make any friends, but one day when a rainstorm takes out the power, Ash is forced to venture into the outside world where they meet a group of teens that quickly adopt them as part of the group.

Recently I was reminiscing about Monster High with a friend of mine and felt inspired to make an oc in the style of Gen 1! This was a lot of fun to work on, and I'm really happy with how she turned out. Everyone say hello to Violet Horner, the daughter of the purple people eater.
