  • Here's a drawing I made of Sebastian from Stardew Valley as a birthday gift for someone! While I haven't played Stardew in months, I wish to pick it up again. Recently, I started playing Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos, which reminded me how much I miss farming sims and fetch quests, haha. In my plathroughs of Stardew, I don't run into Sebastian very often, nor do I get to complete requests for him.

Although my knowledge about his character is limited, I want to uncover more of his story someday! The person I made this for adores Sebastian, so I thought drawing him for their birthday would be fitting! I had a lot of fun creating this, even though it took about eleven hours of work, lol. I wanted these polaroid-like shots to have a candid feel with different lighting, as if the farmer/player took them.

  • I'm a day off on my weekly post schedule since I overslept yesterday, haha oops! Anyway, I said there'd be more Project Sekai art, and this time it's Tsukasa Tenma! I decided to put him in the rain while looking pensive, and I know that's out of character (if I remember correctly... I haven't read all the stories! :,D). Sometimes I will randomize a song from my Spotify liked songs playlist to base my art off of. At the time, I got "All The Things She Said by t.A.T.u." So, my brain went "aw yeah, angsty rain photo time," and this is what I made, lol.

  • Here's a drawing I made of Katsuki Bakugo from My Hero Academia! I've been having so much fun playing with intense and colorful lighting lately, so the following pieces will feature that :D!! I've drawn Katsuki a few times before in the past, but I felt those pieces didn't do him justice. Like many people, I definitely was not a fan of Katsuki during season one, but watching his character development as the series went on made me develop a soft spot for him. He is an awesome character, and I am very proud of how my artwork turned out! Rendering metal and the bright lighting was my favorite part of this process ^u^.

  • Here's a drawing I made of my gijinka of Benjamin from Animal Crossing! So, Benjamin is moving off my island, which made me quite sad since I had grown very fond of him. He's not a popular villager, and some might label him as "ugly," but I think he's so adorable and sweet, haha (I personally love his eyebrows since mine are thick as well, lol). While Benjamin was on my island, he talked about bugs so much. I also saw an image of a millipede held by someone in a library with the caption, "He yearns for knowledge." I figured it'd be in character for Benjamin to read to any pet insects.

I'm about to go on a rant, so bear with me. Perhaps I feel so connected to Benjamin since he reminds me of myself as a child! I used to read to my mother's pet birds growing up. On top of that, I am enamored with slugs, snails, millipedes, pill bugs, earthworms, caterpillars, frogs, and even jumping spiders and tarantulas! One time, I was late to grade school on a winter morning since I was trying to melt frozen puddles to save earthworms (I did successfully rescue a few).

Last fun fact and arachnophobia warning: Some species of tarantula will keep a frog in its burrow as a form of a mutualistic relationship! The tarantula will protect the frog from predators, and the frog, in return, will protect the spider's eggs and the spider itself from pesky insects! While I am fascinated by spiders, they still sometimes give me the chills in real life if they're large enough, lol... I'm more afraid of giant male mosquitos than spiders...!

  • Here's a drawing I made of Fumikage Tokoyami from My Hero Academia! I thought making this drawing would be an absolute drag because I had never drawn a picture with water ripple effects before in my life. It turns out that if you just lock in, trust the process, and experiment, it isn't that hard. The liquify tool was definitely a huge help! Plus, the custom brush I made was great at blending, so it helped me move right along confidently. Believe it or not, this drawing only took me about five hours to complete!

Onto my thoughts about Tokoyami... Horikoshi was not lying when he said this guy is hard to draw, LOL! Perhaps it's the angular shape of his head and feathers? I wish Tokoyami had more screen time since he's such a cool and kind character. Fun fact, he's my mom's favorite among the cast! I like to imagine that Dark Shadow teases Tokoyami sometimes to the point that they bicker back and forth. Almost like a sibling dynamic! Anyway, this drawing was refreshing, and I had fun experimenting with this puddle point of view.

  • Here's a drawing I made of my OC, Yoruhi! They've slowly become one of my favorites among my characters because they're so cool looking :,). Their name means night and day, which can also be interpreted as twilight. I love Yoruhi's clothes since I also have an animal howling at the moon shirt, but it's just a screaming opossum replacing the wolf, LOL. To put their personality in a nutshell, they're like that one vine, "I don't need friends, they disappoint me," haha. I decided to draw Yoruhi in a stairwell with a blacklight effect and glowing graffiti since I've been obsessing over dual lighting in my artwork. I also wanted to practice different area-related backgrounds, so this was a fun exercise!

  • Here's a drawing I made of Kota Izumi from My Hero Academia! He was so funny in the summer camp arc, haha! I liked his punk attitude and thought it would be cool to see it carry over into his later years. I haven't watched past season five, but I did spoil myself a little and referenced Kota's timeskip appearance for this drawing... If I remember correctly, Kota is sort of awkward, less guarded, and respectful in the later seasons. However, I thought it'd be cool to incorporate his spiked hat into his design a little more!

So, I came up with this edgy look and added a little toothpick in his mouth to make him look tough. I used to have a toothpick in my mouth and dress similarly during my school years in a "don't mess with me" way, lol. Although I'm told I have a babyface and can't make an angry expression for the life of me... Back then, my overwhelming height and sense of style juxtaposed with my approachable and friendly face must've been uncanny XD.

  • Hey! It's been a while, hasn't it? Not so funny story, but my previous laptop decided to retire unexpectedly at the beginning of August. I finally set up my new one a few days ago and manually transferred all of my artwork. It was very stressful, but now I'm back to posting again! I have a ton of art to share, and I'll try to post once every week to slowly chip away at the backlog of artwork I have in store. During the past two months, I switched from Firealpaca to Procreate and fell in love with it! Making custom brushes has been so much fun!! I also hyperfixated on Project Sekai for a while, so the next few posts will feature the characters from that game! | ´ ▽ ` )ノ

  • Here's a drawing I made of Toya Aoyagi from Project Sekai! I forgot what inspired this drawing, but I remember that the two koi fish are supposed to represent Toya and his singing partner, Akito. Koi represent perseverance, courage, and good luck, but they can also symbolize friendship and love (from what I can recall). I've never done a drawing with a reflection before, so this was a fun exercise!

For those who need to hear it right now, your presence is important, and you are enough. Times are stressful currently, but like the symbolism of the koi fish, we must persevere. Please stay safe, everyone, and be kind to yourselves. Take on each day one step at a time. I was going to save this song for a later post, but I'd like to share it now. It has been very calming for me, and I hope it can help some of you who see this!

  • Here is a drawing I made of Mina Ashido from My Hero Academia! At the time, this was my take on a grown-up version of Mina before the manga ending came out. I hadn't considered that her horns would get longer, so that fact really surprised me! She's such a fun character, and I enjoyed drawing her too. I'm super proud of how I made her hands in this picture as well! Not so fun fact, I started this drawing in Firealpaca when my laptop fan suddenly broke. While my computer was out of commission, I finished this drawing in Procreate and fully switched to that art program instead ^u^.

  • Here's a drawing I made of a one-off character named Rashmi. I like creating characters, but it's been hard trying to keep track of every single one, haha... It's difficult not to get too attached to each one I make. I've been inspired by songs lately, so this drawing's theme is centered around Aun No Beats by Hanyuu Maigo. The most popular theory about this song is death separating two lovers, so I wanted to capture that. I also wanted to practice my side profiles of people since that's an area I'm not very confident with.

  • Here's a drawing I made of my rendition of Pro Hero Mirio Togata from My Hero Academia! Now, I've already seen his new hairstyle in the timeskip manga. While many appear to prefer Mirio's old hairstyle, I think the new one is rather fitting, with him being dubbed the "comedy hero" and all! However, I believe it's fair to say he wouldn't wear his hair in a pompadour style during his day-to-day life, haha. Unless he's that committed to the bit, then I'd be impressed.

Aside from that, this is my interpretation! I was inspired by his middle school hairstyle, so I created something similar but with an undercut. I haven't seen anyone draw Mirio eating ramen yet, so I decided to give it a try since it's his favorite food! At least, it says so in his trivia. I wanted to convey that someone was taking his photo with the flash on, and I think I did rather well. On another note, I find his eyes so cutely endearing, lol.
