Erik does not take lightly to his enthusiasm being called into question for he has a very good reason to be as cheery and heroic as he portrays himself. A practice doodle of one of my previous DnD characters Valeric, an older white leonin paladin. He was married to a Goliath named Rogran and adopted his husband's daughter. They ended up fighting Rogran who had become a vampire and saved him. He helped redeem/get back my first character in the campaign (who after getting slowly corrupted by the BBEG who turned out to be her dad, snapped and turned into a demon/birthed a demon within her body that was controlling her) by sacrificing himself taking on the god energy that would consume my BF's character. His character Quinn killed his god to get the power to save another party member in a previous session, his god was willing. If Quinn didnt do anything with the god power inside him, it was slowly giving him dragon features, it would eventually kill him and cause him to ascend to be the new dragon god of wisdom. Valeric was on death's door in this battle, he had already also lived a long life and knew what he had to do, his ascension to godhood gave Quinn and the party the window they needed to save my first character Luna so that Quinn and Luna could be together. He now vibes as the new Alabastor dragon God of Wisdom.

I'm currently playing a werewolf Bloodhunter Oathbreaker named Jack Cyrus and he's being pursued by Lucian, another werewolf. Unbeknownst to Jack, Jack years ago had turned Lucian's father and himself (he was only a kid) away from the city of Valhaven, a recently established village that welcomed wayward souls because they were cultists of the demon responsible for werewolves. The village and the church within was established by my previous DnD Character Luna Starpiercer, who became a Demi-goddess of death and erected a church in the name of the Goddess of Death, Spindra, herself, and her fallen friend Saint Spindlewicc who sacrificed himself to kill the BBEG in the campaign by using a LOT of the death energy (he was a long death monk and helped Spindra become the Goddess of Death that she was created to be) and nuking him. Luna after the great demon war in the last campaign established an order of paladins that answered to Spindra (the Lunar Knights) and a specialized order of Bloodhunters who served as her "Starpiercers". She went on a crusade to eliminate the remaining members of the cult for the BBEG, not only to ensure safety for the continent but as a sort of revenge for them having orchestrated her entire life, making her suffer etc. Jack's assumptions and experiences in the Great Demon War blinded his judgement.
