  • A quick, simple piece done on stream today. It's been a lot of fun branching out and creating more original works! I'm not sure what's up with the water faucet tail, either, but hey! It works.

Now, here's YOUR reminder to have yourself a biiiiig stretchums!

  • I'm transitioning from gaming to full art content on the ol' streamy sites, so I've been incorporating little Tay doodles into my schedule posts. The little paintbrush doodle is for the announcement that I'm going "Oops, All Art!" I REALLY love the "It's ART!" doodle, ehehe.

They're simple, they're bright, they're quick; they fulfill their purpose well!

  • I *think* I did a smart thing. I started a drawing, it looked great at the time. Absolutely perfect, spot on with my style of a scene redraw. When the sketch was finished, I thought, "Hey! I'll close it for tonight, then come back and ink it with fresh eyes tomorrow!"

Guess what happened when I opened the file today? Holy mother of YIKES. Lots of adjustments needed! Good thing I didn't get too far- and hey, it inspired this silly thing.

  • You only see them at night- glowing eyes at the end of your street. One carries a dense fog behind it, a sense of foreboding and secret knowledge not meant for us. Another brings clarity and calm in its path. The twins? We don't talk about the twins.

A simple design inspired by a little group of neighborhood cats, who have earned quite a few tales from the strange things that happen when they come around!

  • What started off as something silly ended up becoming a very fun exploration of brushes! Opossums may look scary, but they're actually giant softies who are afraid of everything. I'm sure a lot of us can relate- I can! (PLEASE do not go picking up or bothering any opossum- or other wildlife- you may encounter.)

  • Going through works, trying to figure out what to upload here...and the urge to redraw several pieces boils up. It's a fun way to see your progress and style shifts, though!

And then...then there's the piece made a month ago, that was SO COOL when it was fresh. Now? Oh. Oh no. BRB, time to scream, it's dreadful.

  • An oldie, but still a favorite! I had just bought CSP, and was learning how to use the fun vector tools. Be sure to click over, there's a GIF of the little friend, too!

  • "I can't answer why, just go with me." Bowie's video for Blackstar is one of the most uncomfortable things I've watched- it's unsettling. I can't place my finger on it. Is it his large, all-knowing grin? Is it the years on years of tidbits from previous videos seeping in, knowing he would pass soon after? Is it the dusty, strangely neutral color palette throughout? Regardless, the video has stuck with me for seven years now. I haven't drawn the Starman in a couple of years, so this seemed like as good a time as any! Really wanted to stick with the angular lines of the first drawing- but goodness, this is not a bright and happy 1997 palette at all, by comparison.

  • Went on vacation for a week. Came home, sat down to work on my comic...and boop. Nothing. Head empty. Drawing hand? Don't know them. Bedhead, though? Oh, I know it so well. So very well.

I'll comb it tonight! I promise!

  • Oops! It's another Kira, just in time for his birthday! With yet another Bowie picture as reference, it was a lot of fun adding the bright, almost tropical colors. I also really like the messy outline blending. It's either thick line work or messy blending, nowhere in between!
