  • A tiny dragon. It looks like it could be from autumnal maple tree. Only thing what it has with maples, is that it likes maple sap and gnaws holes to trees. Maple syrup harvesters think it is a pest.

¤ Pencil, water colors, opaque white paint. 2016.

(I'm glad that this site exists but constant lag makes it hard to sometimes even log in. But that's fine, this is a new place, gotta stay patient.)

  • Purple Qilin floating in space.
Not a thing that would literally happen, this all is staged for the sake of cool.

¤ Copics, opaque white paint on marker paper, 2017.

Purple Qilin is my creature and serves some sort of mascot role.

  • _The skies we built were torn apart.
The dance we danced was not for us._

    ------

A something because I got random idea and then made it. It is a quite obvious-on-your-face -reference for a couple of characters of mine.
Or just a cool picture of a couple of stylized birds floating in interspaces.

  • This creature is named Slash and he has a light halo around his horn every now and then. It depends on the environment, when it's night and cold and there's ice on the air, it looks pretty fancy.

    ¤ Liners, copics and watercolor.

~~I also call him Stabby von Knifeface because of reasons.~~

  • _Made of a lion, a goat and a snake, carries a halo of a spine._

    ------

THIS thing exists solely because I suddenly had an idea "what if a character with a halo made of vertebrae?" Then used a bit too much time on this.

Exact personality is still a work in progress, but this is a postcreated. Bone Chimera is what it is mostly called due to obvious reason.

  • There is a rumor that somewhere there is a sword in the stump, and whoever would get that sword, would be granted with great might. It wouldn't even be hard to pull that sword out from the old tree stump. Unfortunately nobody has ever got past the guardian frog. And those who have lived, have been too afraid to ever tell what exactly makes a frog so frightening.

¤ Pencil and watercolors. Random idea which I absolutely had to make.

  • Opening a new place with Pride. Like, literally, this creature goes with the name Pride and has been in the spotlight in my head like ten years and counting.

¤ Gouache painting on blue paper.

  • Flight taking off.
Dragon thing needs a name, I've had them some while and wanted to get some ideas who they even are but so far nothing really, except some sort of dragon made for cold environment.

This thing happened when I watched some Bob Ross videos (you know, the Joy of Painting) and thought "hmm, would this be done in gouache?" Yes it's possible. Maybe a bit slower but yea it works. Also Bob Ross didn't usually include dragons either.

  • Pretty huge drawing I made for an art show back in 2017. I only wanted to make something colorful and feathery/scaly, and ended up drawing sort of Quetzalcoatl.

¤ Brush pen, Inktense pencils, copics, opaque white.
¤ Original is 82 cm x 57 cm (DIN A1 minus some borders).

  • Making an account here too because of ...things happening in places.

Hello I'm Sysi, I like various creatures and I do almost exclusively traditional art. Guaranteed physical pain and tears without artifical smoothering. Been eating pencils, drinking watercolors and inhaling marker fumes so so many years.

I reside in Finland, that's that distant corner of the world that sometimes do exists.

I'm trying to figure out how to use this place.

  • This creature makes these flickering light triangles in rapidly varying sizes and in a long run this is painful to anyone with eyes. Creature itself doesn't have eyes, not even eyesockets, and is immune to light effects.

The main reason for this was that I wanted to draw triangles.
