  • Hello.

I’m going to dedicate some time to using this account, so I’ll be slowly updating the content here. I’m not quite sure how I want to go about using the account, but I sure want this whole service to be successful.

The Membership Drive was successful and I’m really happy to have helped out. And seeing InkBlot reach it’s goal has inspired me to use it more. The whole mission of InkBlot inspired me and made me hopeful.

I use IG and Twitter to post my art. And it’s been great. But I’m feeling the pressure to keep posting. At the height of the pandemic, I was posting fan comics on IG every week. That got exhausting, and I burnt out. Perhaps I’ll chat about this more at a later point.

My goal with this account is to post more original and experimental art. I also appreciate the ability to post walls of text/blog posts. Perhaps I’ll also try to get into more of the community projects here too. I’ll end this blog on that note, with hopes that I post more soon.

  • Two of my original characters are dressed in an outfit inspired by some mood board I found on Twitter. There was a Fanta drink on that mood board, and I incorporated it in the background, changing the logo to "Fencing". I think it came out quite cute. :D

  • I’m sorry for the title. It stuck after I used it for my HoYoLAB submission.

This was an experiment using gradient maps and greyscale to render the image. I focused a lot on his eyes, but I think the details were lost. I could have pushed the contrast a little bit more, too.

Overall, it turned out okay! I really do like the facial expression. And the colors aren’t that bad either.

  • Fan art of various characters from Tower of Fantasy. The perspective is off, but I'm proud of the rendering.

  • Now that everything on my end is mostly distributed, I feel comfortable posting this here.

For the past year I’ve been working on a fan zine dedicated to Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia. Overall, I felt we came up with a good product, and I learned a lot more than I thought I would.

I drew this initially as my contribution to the zine. Due to page limits, I removed this to make room. I thought it was amusing to show the launch units together as employees as an airline agency called DFFOO airlines. The characters have similar uniforms but in line with their color palette. I adored launch units and this was one of my favorite mechanics (other than break). Since the point of the zine was to remember the good times we had playing DFFOO, I thought this would be appropriate.

Anyways, I’m glad the zine is done, and I hope it meets everyone’s expectations. If you found me through the zine, hello! Hope you enjoy the art and Ink Blot!

  • Solving problems through comics.
I was stuck with a figure that I’m creating for a project. It’s a flow chart with the middle object flowing into two sub objects. Something did not sit well with me in regards to the flow of information, so I used that frame work to draw a comic. The idea of the figure has since changed, but here I am with a strange comic highlighting my wonderful OCs Michette, Ayzell and Juxine.

  • I did another sketch for the InkBlot Membership Drive. This time it is Cashew’s OC. I thought she was so cute and I’ve wanted to draw someone with a chubby body shape. Hopefully I was able to surround her with enough butterflies and did the character justice!

  • I liked how fluid her attack animations were, and the backflip is the icing on the cake. The color palette is lovely as well.

  • I’m trying to draw my knits and place them in fantastical stories.

The Pressed Flowers Cowl comes off as a comforting and cozy garment, protecting the wearer from the cold. It gives reassurance that the problems ahead can be resolved. While she appears confident in any encounter she finds herself in, Michette welcomes any support that she comes across. Well, maybe

  • I'm participating in the InkBlot Membership drive as a Pinch Hitter. Here's my sketch of FireFlea-San's oc, Shinra. This was fun, and hopefully her strong will and determination is illustrated here!

  • Ryuuzaki Umi from Magical Knight Rayearth on the fencing piste.

One of her extracurricular activities is fencing, and her discipline is epee. Points can be scored with the tip of the epee making non-lethal contact with any part of the opponents body. The face is protected by the fencing mask, the black mesh object in Umi’s left hand. Fencing masks must withstand the force equivalent to the weight of a 12 kilogram mass.

I often debated whether Umi was on the Cadet or Junior Japanese National team, but since it’s never mentioned, I didn’t color her mask accordingly.

Anyways, yay shojou isekai from the 90’s.
