For today's post, I thought I'd show off a cute drawing I did of two familiar OCs in outfits I saw on this moodboard/meme type thingy. I was very inspired by these cute little outfits, and could immidiately see these two characters wearing them.
The exercise is great fun, and I ended up doing it again after this. And I _highly_ recommend you try it out with your own characters if you have any.For today's post, I thought I'd show off a cute drawing I did of two familiar OCs in outfits I saw on this moodboard/meme type thingy. I posted a Jade fanart a while back, and here's another! Not feeling great today, but I enjoyed making this. I'm really happy with how it came out too. Always fun drawing Jade's cute face :)
I did my own spin on her god tier costume as I'm not the hugest fan of the designs for those, but there were still elements I found cute.I posted a Jade fanart a while back, and here's another! If you're ever wondering what's going on with your ovaries during a period. It's really two samurais dueling it out in there, slashing your uterine walls. If you're ever wondering what's going on with your ovaries during a period. Oookay, take two of typing this out. This is a scheduled post, so it's a bit after 3am as I'm posting this, and BOY am I tired. I just lost a very nice little caption that I spent some time typing out BECAUSE I mistakenly touched the "album" button. So, instead of that nice inspiration speech about sticking to creating art despite difficulties, you get this near rant instead. You're welcome.

Boom! Iz me!
I tried doing a little sona-type-thing, I guess? I'm not well versed in these avatar things online lol. I know, embarrassing to admit as an alleged Gen-Z'er. I guess I'm not a proper internet artist, you all should just revoke my card here and now, and pelt me mecilessly with stones.
Despite my ignorance on the topic, I've always thought it'd be fun to have a little avatar to represent myself, but could never dedicate myself to any one look. So I just never bothered. But since I've had the Solitaire handle for a while now, and I like playing cards aestheics and what-not, I thought I'd give it a go. This one is also displaying a rough estimation of my new hair-cut! Yay!
Man, this is rambly, I'm sorry. I had a whole pot of coffee earlier and sometimes I seem to be more sensitive to it than others. My brain gets all empty-loud and I can't shut my stupid mouth off. Er uh... I guess "can't shut my *fingers* off." in this case. If that even makes sense.
It reminds me how I've recently more and more thought about how grateful I am that I've mostly taken to using instagram for my main posting source. And since you've gotta attach a picture on there everytime you post, it incentivizes (me at least) not to just constantly spout off random droning shitposts because I don't want to fill my feed with garbage photos. Meanwhile, if I used a site like this for instance I might just go off on insane rants, or aimless tangents like the one you're reading now.
Oh maaan, also before I end this, did anyone else watch that "The Thing About Pam" mini series on NBC last year? I just rewatched it yesterday and it really holds up in my opinion. Also that music! Even if you haven't watched it, at least give the soundtrack a listen on spotify or something. I've had "Plans Change" stuck in my head all day. That soundtrack is killer... Pun not intended. From what I looked at on the artist's Spotify page they also did the soundtrack to The Witcher show too? I don't watch that, but some pretty high profile stuff. Super neat.
Anyway... Thanks for reading! Hope you liked my sona :3 (if thats even the right word for this type of avatar character, I have no idea.)Boom! Iz me! I tried doing a little sona-type-thing, I guess? Hello again everyone!! I am here once again, and fairly happy to be here too. I haven't been maintaing this page for sometime. And all-in-all just kind of got burnt out on this whole social media thing, but I think IB may just be the remedy for my itchy posting finger. I missed the feeling of posting my art a little more than I realized. But instagram seems to be a huge no-go. I'm finding more and more that "traditional", (I guess one could call it? Or _mainsteam_ maybe would be a better name?) Social media is _not. for. me._
I think it's likely the cozy smallness on here, but there's such an appeal to just talk, talk, talk away in a caption box, and dump the occasional art piece. Instagram feels so weird and naked if that makes any sense. Like I barely have any followers, but I still feel as thought I'm being watched by people who want to spit on me... sPoOoOoOoOooKy sPiT, oOoOooOOo...
Yet again, I find myself extremely torn between my desire to be a bubbly, out-going spacecase, and just ramble on endlessly about nonsense to strangers, _and_ my desire to trap myself within a pocket dimension, isolated from all mankind. Where I can be truly _~Solitaire~_. (Okay, that might've been punny, but at least there was a valid context and lead up.)
Anyway, this drone-y ass ~~diary entry~~ post is all to say, I intend on posting more on here, cause I really enjoyed the vibe of Inkblot in the past. Here's to many more drone-y future posts :)Hello again everyone!! I am here once again, and fairly happy to be here too. I haven't been maintaing this page for sometime. Some fun fanart of a couple Mario characters in some alternate outfits I created! ^^
I'm very happy with these two. Pauline is probably my favorite Mario character, (though it's a close contest with Daisy.) While Chuck is a favorite of my close friend. Some fun fanart of a couple Mario characters in some alternate outfits I created! ^^ I'm very happy with these two. Some more fanart for the game "You. Me. Hell"! I mentioned this in a previous post of some fanart for the game, but it's one of my favorites. And particularly I really like Dorothea's character.
Had the brain storm to do this fanart today, and I'm glad I did :) Very happy with how it came out.
I edited the first slide just to smooth out the streaking on the blacks. They looked fine in person, but once I photographed them, I realized how streaked it was. The more I take pictures of my art, the more I realize that angles are really important, and the fact that when I draw, I'm creating the art at a slight angle and not looking at it head-on. Not something I've ever really considered a whole lot. But definitely important to consider when you want a completed and thoughtfully constructed piece. Some more fanart for the game "You. Me. Hell"! Some art of one of my OCs. I drew these a while back and at different times. I couldn't really get myself into the drawing vibe today but wanted to post. I realized I hadn't really properly edited and brightened up some of my sketch book stuff. I have a lot more sketches like this, maybe I should post some more of my back-catalogue, hmmmmm...
This here OC is one of mine from an on-going story I've been working on for some time. He's named Eugene and most of the time he looks like a plague doctor, as you can see in the above images. I also included some portraits of his human form.
Also included is a short profile I made a while back. I made one of these for each of my protagonists in this particular story, well, more of less. I ended up not finishing two of the profiles, I plan on doing those very soon though. It'd also be neat to do the same for my OCs in other stories too.
I like character profiles that are from the perspective of the characters. I highly reccomend you go in that direction, should you be doing the same thing for your OCs soon.
This profile is obviously sparce, but done intentionally to express the personality and mindset of the character. Often distant, and mentally frazzled.
The plague doctor costume relates to some story stuff that happens, so I won't get into the whole thing here. But the suit does make it kind of difficult to draw him sometimes.
It's important to broaden the things you draw if you have intention of breaking into fields like comics or animation. I've always been slightly restricted in my sphere of subject matter, and it's caused me to be frustrated with myself. Like now, it bothers me that I don't draw this particular character as much as my others because of some of the difficulties I run into when drawing the suit.
Thankfully through, I have a mother always encoraging me to test out new things, and work on areas like backgrounds. Thanks, mom.
Anyway, I hope all's well with you, and thanks if you bothered reading all this! haha. Have a very happy forth! Some art of one of my OCs. I drew these a while back and at different times.
