One of my favorite things in these games are the random floating objects in the single player stages, and Octo expansion definitely has some of the coolest. Imo the best ones are the rolls of bubblegum tape in the 1st 8 ball level, so I decided to do a cute octo to match.
Anyway idk if this is a universal thing or not, but I remember bringing one of these bad boys to school was like such a flex lol. Felt like the coolest third grader everFrom June 2021 I think? Old art from very early 2021. I noticed that I really like art styles that have more jagged line work, so I decided to try it out for myself. 1st slide was my attempt, 2nd is what my style usually looks like. Finally got around to drawing my in game squid. I took a few liberties and added some extra accessories here and there and did a hairstyle I wish we’d gotten (pls Nintendo give me bubble braids, they’d look so good, especially for octolings).
Originally I was planning on drawing all 3 of my inklings from each game, but I soon realized that would involve having to draw 3 heavy splatlings with each one having a different model and all so yeah no

Yeah I really like those thingies. Right up there with the big mason jars with the glowy blue liquid inside and like all those lights and washi tape all wrapped around them.
This is a partner piece for my bubblegum tape drawing, this time with an object from story mode. I wanna do more of these, so I’ll try and see which object to choose next. Also fun fact I had to take a month long break from this cause I broke my wrist right after I finished the sketch lolYeah I really like those thingies. Quick doodle from this September. I did this on a long-ish train ride and used it to experiment on a few things with my art style, mainly the shading, eyes (I’m always changing how I color the eyes lol) and how many halftones are too many halftones. Also I did this like the day before 3 came out and I fully expected the annaki red cuff to be in the game oof
I didn’t see any gear from the new season in my shops today, and I haven’t seen this sweater in any of the promotional stuff but I WANT TO BELIEVE. Also pls let there be my mint dakroniks too please Nintendo pls pls pls they match so we’ll with the painter’s mask when you have orange/yellow ink and I KNOW the mask is in the game already pleeeeeaseQuick doodle from this September.
