One thing I'd love to pull off later on is using light and color to expand storytelling, and I try to experiment with that in Roadrunner. As is detailed in the picture, _yellow_ has a positive connotation in Roadrunner, majorly defined as the color of freedom and discovery (as yellow as the sun) in the story. _Blue_ carries opposing emotions in the narrative, representing the coldness of the past. Green is in the story for a mix of these two reasons — it's not painful, but it feels foreign. May post more details about the actual story in the future.

Next up, a beloved OC of mine. Meet Armando Laric. This fellow (besides being a major comfort OC) is the third crewmate/navigator of the Hangman Jury. A roadrunner-type Algettian, Armando is a gentle giant who enjoys rockhounding, classic rock music, and company with others, among many other things. Due to his rockhounding hobby, he formed a casual club for like-minded folks named the Rock Council (the Lapis Army is an alternative nickname). He also owns multiple worm-on-a-string pets, most of which are named after gemstones. Note I've linked a bonus mini-ref for this post with a couple of main hairdos for Armie. Most of the time, Armie wears his golden-brown mane in a shoulder-length rockstar shag; however, when summertime hits, he likes to chop it to neck-length to mitigate the heat.

So, at the rescue I volunteer at, we have a Roadrunner, a wild one who hangs out around the building, that I've taken to calling "Friend". They have been coming around since... about early January, and they ask us for food. I, of course, took this as an opportunity to get good pictures to practice my nature drawing with, but.... some, like this one, just need to be shared. Also, I call them friend because they will just come over and watch what you're doing and will sometimes try to "talk" at you.

Humanoid road runners can fly clumsily with their wing-arms (10m per round), and while airborne can use their misshapen hands, to either employ a one handed weapon or drop a rock or grenade from each hand. Alternatively, they can gain considerable altitude and then stop flapping their wings to bring their hands together to use a two handed device or ranged weapon, such as a crossbow, rifle or bow.
