(Another artfight artpiece from last year but a pretty special one too me)

Vanda (The gerudo with the massive hair-do) is my character from an old LoZ role playing group, Vanda was a healer, who was on a quest to find a cure for her entire clan and herself, this illness or curse they were afflicted with caused hair loss, and slowly sucked the nutrients out of the body, causing them to become frail, and eventually pass on. Vanda thankfully on her adventure found this wingless Rito, a Keaton trickster, and a kind hearted, and rather fancy Gerudo man and among others who wished to help her. Eventually Vanda did find the cure, although she's still a bit frail, her hair grew back violently quick.

Last week's bird portrait, which didn't get shared on time: Kestrel in Uni Emott and colored pencil.
The #kestrel is a small #hawk that eats mostly grasshoppers and very small rodents. I see them frequently on our homestead.

**sol:** yes, she helped her cross in either 1907 or 1908. they fight over the date (they fight over everything.) the Chinese Exclusion Act was 25 or 26 years old by then, but this was still before the Immigration Act started targeting immigrants from east asia writ large. her foster family (japanese+mestizo) had the foresight to seek citizenship before they became the monster of the week. i think that was after Arizona was admitted to the union in 1912… but in the end she didn’t have to worry about citizenship much.

The first morning at the homestead, I woke up to this sight, grabbed the camera and ran outside. I was phenomenally lucky to get this shot, as while morning mists were a constant feature, they would either be too thick and/or the glare from the sun would make it impossible to see the horizon.

We got back from the Packard Museum and saw this behind us, so I ran up to the top of the field to see if I could snag the whole thing, and just caught it before it started to rain. If you have sharp eyes, you can just make out the second bow in the upper right.

Things to note**
Im working full time at a coffee shop and am most likely getting a second job as well. So art will not be posted daily not just because of the jobs but because I unfortunately suffer from serve carpol tunnel syndrome and arthritis in my hand and wrist. I'll be needing to go for surgery.

Morpheus is Ress's oldest friend and one of her closer relationships. These two grew up together, as Lucias (Morpheus's Dad) was the local Doctor type (alongside the clan healers of course)- at least until the old man retired and Morpheus himself took up the robes. He now does the traveling around a good many of the local areas when he's not at his homestead close to Ress's clan grounds.

He's an earnest, gentle, and kind person who specializes mostly in healing and support magic with a proficiency and major study in sleep spells (despite he himself being completely immune to such magics- a quirk that runs in the family line)
