I found one of my old sketches I did back in 2018, and decided to give it some color! I didn’t really bother with the lineart too much as it’s just the original _(done with mostly pen and a little bit of pencil as highlights)_. This is Yuki, a cute lil’ oddball who’s a bit of a prankster and loves waffles and cookies! Started out as a fan character from Little Big Planet named Sacktaur(based off Sackboy), but slowly became an original character overtime. Used to be a male but as of now, it’s mostly gender neutral. I’m still in the process of developing and tweaking their character more to fit in my own universe. This is pretty close to the finalized look as it doesn’t look too much like sackboy, but I might have to change the color or add a couple of markings. I’m still on the fence about what species it's going to be now. I was going for a spirit entity like a Yo Kai or maybe a chimera, but I’m considering making an original species. So even though I have about a week left and I'm not even halfway done the Story, I decided to spend three-and-a-half days sketching this. I don't know why I always decide to further complicate an already difficult setting by doing postures I've never practiced, but this turned out a **lot** better than I'd hoped. Skyline would have actually been a thing, but just my luck that full 3D rendering in Google Earth cuts out *precisely* over the downtown core. If you look reeeeally closely, you can see Stylesrj pinned to the ground, and Stylesjl laughing at his misfortune. Also, I've been meaning to say it for ages but never did, so I'll state it now: You know you've been in the game too long when you can tell which individual pixels are yours or not. =P P.S. Western view of the Nîmes skyline from the Arena. Lycée Alphonse-Daudet, named after a local 19th-century novelist (and virulent anti-Semite), is a public secondary and higher school originally founded in 1883 as the *lycée de garçons de Nîmes*. The complex itself dates to the early 19th Century and originally served as a hospital; it has been renovated several times, with the clock and rotunda carving added in the late 1880s by the architect Auguste Augière. Made 2021 This is a work that was made with a commission in mind and got permission from the commissioner to show it to you guys. The painting was a project I began roughly a year ago showing the Charles river in Boston with its skyline of skyscrapers in the background.The painting was done around fall of 2021 but until now I asked permission to show it.
