This was just a bit of practice! This is my first time trying to do a landscape in pixel art, and it was a bit of a challenge... but I feel like I learned a lot! -- The zombie girl's name is Karla and she's got quite a following of little scavengers nipping at her heels, but she doesn't seem to mind! While she herself isn't on the menu, she's got plenty of bread that is! Funny thing though, those posters in the background seem to insinuate quite a different story, don't they...?

My character from a Rogue Trader campaign I played in. A mutant scavenger from a hiveworld, press ganged into service, eventually becoming a seneschal apprentice, bottom of the ranks of candidates... until a warp travel gone wrong caused everyone on the succession line to die, missing or, in the case of the seneschal himself, become a coat of paint. She is wearing a synskin Xenomesh armor (and cowl) under the hildebrand coat uniform (sleeves ripped because she’s a pragmatic who use the law when it suits her, not a stickler for the rules), and are armed with a hellpistol currently (after losing her Boltpistol in a battle against a rogue inquisition agent)

* Name: Sharper * Species: Pesteraff * Subtype: Marsupial * Age: Unknown * Gender: Male --- One of the original creations of the Metagenic Riches Project, and referred to only as 721, Sharper is a Pesteraff and a forerunner for the new species that was created to try and enhance humans for better adaptability - splicing human genetics with that of animals known for being hardy and living in hard to live environments, the pests and scavengers of the world - and creating a hybrid that could survive in difficult environments. What was created were humanoid creatures with animalistic figures, diminuitive in size and kept in secret underground in a facility that never saw daylight. The Pesteraffs were developed through dozens of refinements, indicated by batch numbers printed on their ear tags, until they surpassed all expectation, wickedly smart and very hard to kill due to their increased resistances and strong genetic combinations. The project was defunded once it was unearthed and eventually shut down, though the human population on the surface never did find out what it was that had been created. The Pesteraffs remained underground, tunneling past the confines of the lab complex and eventually developing civilisations of their own, extremely technologically savvy and beginning to replace their more delicate limbs with robotics. While the first generation of Pesteraffs were sterile and unable to have children, later generations were able to reproduce and Pesteraffs began to flourish in their underground home. Eventually, they began to get curious about the surface and the humans that they had been keeping an eye on during this time. They eventually developed hard light holograms able to project human disguises around their bodies and now they have begun venturing to the surface and exploring, and cohabiting with humans right under their noses without them realising... But never showing the world of their existence for fear of what they might think. --- Pesteraffs is a closed species created by Aurlocke

These drawings show their range of coloration, which varies from tans and browns (as in a coyote or puma) to striking blacks and greys (as in a wolf.) Melanism and albinism are also shown, and some other, weirder color morphs that resemble a piebald cross fox. Notes in the margins read “Lotta variation. I ref wolf, coyote, puma color morphs” “Brindling, agouti common.” “Spots + stripes not typical, limited coverage.” “Sometimes you get real weirdos.” “IDK if poorly-defined pupils are stylistic or a real trait. go wild.”] ◆◆◆ Coyotes used to live in the high Asthaom desert, but mysteriously disappeared during the thousand-year drought… And wherever they went, koathi stepped in to fill their absence. Koathi are gregarious scavengers. They’ve long been considered humankind’s friend, because a wild koath has never attacked or preyed on a human unprovoked. They’re very tolerant of people, sometimes even friendly, but this is in the same way that wild orcas don’t really bother humans because they aren’t taught to consider them food, and puffins have no fear of humans because they haven’t been exposed to predators. Koathi do prey on other denizens of the desert (and they even use persistence hunting strategies the same way that humans do.) Sometimes your relationship with an animal is built on nothing but dumb luck, but I don’t think that makes it any less significant.
