• Originally, this mess of a combination was going to be an adopt. But, because I've fell in love with the execution of the design, I've ended up keeping him instead ^^! I truly couldn't resist!

He suffers a great identity crisis, as he doesn't know who and what he originally was before being created into this mess ewe

To those that may be wondering, here is a list of Pokemon that he is fused with:

Now that Soka's favorite jumbo beach ball has popped, he looks as though he's about to cry.

Drawing the jumbo beach ball flat was a task within itself, but I did what I could to emphasize it being flat by adding wrinkles to certain spots. I think the results turned out well in my opinion.

  • I've had this idea for quite some time and I wanted to draw this after catching a shiny Oshawott in Pokemon Legends Arceus. Coincidentally, since Samurott was added to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet today via, a Tera Raid, I figured now would be the best time to get this drawing done. This is also the first time I've ever drawn a human being (Half-body, but even so.) and I thought, what better way to start than to draw myself? Needless to say, I still need a lot more practice drawing humans in general. But, it's not too bad for a first attempt.

One year has passed since Soka became a Dewott and now, he has evolved into a Samurott and is ready to bounce on his favorite jumbo beach ball once more.

Drawing Samurott wasn't easy as, much like with Servine, there aren't too many official pieces of art for this Pokemon. Regardless of the lack of references out there outside of fan art, I worked with what I had to draw him as best as I could, considering the pose I wanted to do with him. Even so, this took me a while to put together as Samurott is a complicated creature to draw. It was still fun to pull off though.

  • At an elementary school in Unova, two 3rd grade school kids who each have an Oshawott went on a field trip with the rest of their peers for their history class to Jubilife City in Sinnoh. The purpose of this trip is to learn of Oshawott's origins like where they originally came from, how they lived, and what eventually lead them to migrate to Unova, where they can be found in abundance to this day. The secondary purpose of this field trip is to learn how Jubilife City first started off as Jubilife Village back in ancient times when Sinnoh was referred to as Hisui. When the students and teachers arrived at Jubilife City, the citizens of the city were setting up for the Jubilife Historical Parade, which is an annual event to celebrate the history of Jubilife and the town's origins. This includes parading many parade floats and parade balloons down the streets of Jubilife City, showcasing a recreation of what it was like when Jubilife City was known as Jubilife Village. The parade balloons show off the Pokemon who were once native to this ancient land including; Decidueye, Samurott, Typhlosion, Zoroark, Lilligant, Goodra, Basculegion, and many more. During the parade, the narrator will share some history on each parade float and balloon to the audience as the floats and balloons pass by.

Before the parade began, the Unova history class arrived at a nearby Pokemon Center so that everyone could let their Pokemon out of their Pokeballs so that they can go play and get some exercise after the long plane ride from Unova. When the two elementary school kids let their Oshawotts out of their Pokeballs alongside their classmates, they told them to behave themselves and to not wonder off while they went to the parade. The two Oshawotts nodded in understanding what their Trainers asked of them. When they were let outside alongside the other students' Pokemon, they saw what looked to be a giant flying Samurott in the distance. Curious, they made their way towards the flying Samurott, making sure to blend in with the other Pokemon so that they can't be seen escaping the Pokemon Center grounds. Upon successfully escaping, they reached where the giant flying Samurott was located and saw that it has lots of strings tied to it. One of the Oshawotts pulled on one of the many strings and the Samurott bobbed like a balloon would if one were to pull its string while it's flying. Realizing what this Samurott really was, Oshawott informs their friend that this Samurott is actually a big, bouncy balloon. With excitement in their eyes, both Oshawotts grabbed onto a different balloon string and began climbing up until they reached the top of the balloon. Upon doing so, they noticed how squishy and bouncy it really is, but before they could begin bouncing on the big Samurott balloon, it lurched forward a little bit, throwing them off balance, but luckily, they didn't fall off and they weren't scared of the sudden lurch. So, they sat down, got comfortable, and enjoyed the ride as the Jubilife Historical Parade began.

As the parade progressed, one of the human organizers who was monitoring things from the many rooftops of the city, noticed the two stray Oshawotts riding on the Hisuian Samurott parade balloon. They informed their boss of their findings, but were advised to leave them be as stopping the parade mid-route could scare the Oshawotts enough to panic and fall off the balloon, getting seriously hurt in the process or worse. Rather than cause mass hysteria for everyone, they'll monitor the Oshawotts movements and make sure that they don't cause trouble. When the parade ended, the humans handling the Hisuian Samurott balloon anchored it down and then slowly lowered it down towards ground level so that the two Oshawotts can safely climb off when it was low enough to the ground. Once that happened, the two Oshawotts hopped off without a care in the world and ran back to the Pokemon Center where they were supposed to stay at in the first place. Shortly after they got back, all the students, including their Trainers, arrived to pick them up and take them to a nearby hotel where they were staying for the rest of the festivities. When they met up with their Trainers, they asked their Oshawotts if they were good and if they had fun. They nodded "Yes", but one wouldn't say that they were "good" because of their little stunt today, not like that they could tell them anyway, even if they wanted to. And so, all the students and their Pokemon set off for the nearby hotel for some well deserved R&R!

A few days later, Soka's trainer took him to the lake where he first received his jumbo beach ball and gave him a special gift. This gift is to celebrate the 3-year anniversary of when Soka and his trainer began their journey. This gift is a brand new ball. This ball is special as it is made for Pokemon like Samurott as it's a lot more durable, it can hold Soka's weight no problem and he can bounce on it as much as he wants without fear of popping it. (Plus, it's way bigger too.) And judging by the look on Soka's face, he absolutely loves it and he can't thank his trainer enough for their kindness. The ball itself was very expensive, but it was worth it to see Soka's happy face once again after his jumbo beach ball popped a few days prior.

And with that, that brings the end of this short little story. This was fun to make all the way through and I gained some valuable experience making this, from drawing the Oshawott family line, to transparency, and creases for inflatable objects. This series brought with it, its own series of challenges for drawing all assets in various positions, but were well worth it in the end, in my opinion. Thanks for reading.

There are additional details that go along with this description. However, I cannot include them due to the 2000-character limit. If you're interested in learning how I drew this, [you can read up on it here on my DeviantArt.](https://www.deviantart.com/therealgeneralsnivy/art/Soka-the-Samurott-and-his-new-favorite-ball-page-4-918227110)

Soka is now crying as he realizes that his favorite jumbo beach ball is beyond repair and can never be played with again. Despite this, this isn't the end of this short story yet.

I am aware that I could've just changed Soka's facial expression and called it a day, but I wanted to do something more than that and took on the challenge of redrawing his head, just so that I could move it and make it look as natural as possible. I had to redraw the main body too to accompany the new position too, but thankfully, that wasn't as hard as redoing the head in my opinion.

However, due to Soka's weight and how hard he was coming down for the bounce, it doesn't go as planned. (The expression on Soka's face says it all.)

Figuring out the best way to draw air escaping/being forced out of the beach ball took some time to figure out, but I found a good reference as to how best to approach it. Here's the reference in question: https://www.deviantart.com/elilb8/art/Art-Trade-For-RolaxBende-Official-848329941

This combines all 4 parts of Page 3 of my little short story of Soka and his favorite jumbo beach ball.
