- "Anthony is apparently a hairier version of Benjamin, as it gives the impression they are twins. He is a big show-off and loves to live with a positive outlook in life. He uses humor and his sweet charms to make it through the day, and hopefully catch a sexy woman's attention, especially with Anya Stroud, Sam Byrne, and Alex Brand. However, being a Gear has been hard on him when realizing his personality gets in the way of his survival instincts. In the end, old habits are hard to overcome as he tries to pay attention to battles against the Locusts and remember to keep his head down. He can also be considered clumsy, such as tripping over his own feet or jamming his weapon."
- "Clay brandishes the name of a big brother to Anthony and Ben, and the name of a Gear by fighting the Locusts with a thirst for vengeance for his brothers' deaths. His built physique, shaven head, and battle scars he earned from wrestling Wretches off prove his dedication to outlast the odds and ends of the war. Before his brother's deaths, he continues to fight as a Gear to kill the locusts and help his family live another day. After his brother's deaths, he lives to accept that he's a half-empty glass man and withdraws himself constantly from social groups. However quiet and grim he's to others, he cares deeply for his loved ones and closest friends. He later shows some love interest for Sam Byrne, but becomes too stubborn to show it due to his depression of his losses. He also despises Benjamin's pet Wretch, considering that he was attacked by the same creature to earn the scars he has on his head. However, after Benjamin's death, he keeps the Wretch around to remember him, despite the tension they have for each other."
