EARLY ACCESS, ORIGINAL RESOLUTION AND EXCLUSIVE BEHIND THE SCENES UPLOADS ON SUPPORT PAGES
Wow, I'm drawing something other than fanart or comissions!
Funnily enough this doodle has a bit of history because it's based on a dream of mine. I barely remember much of the dream itself because It was bizarre, incoherent and I had already forgotten much of it after waking up. But near the end of the dream, I remember looking at a window and seeing this ghostly figure on the other end; she did nothing but stare at me with a wide smile. I should probably be terrified, but oddly enough I remember being oddly enamored in the dream. I couldn't look away. So a friend suggested I just doodle the character!.........Shut up, I know you're judging me, but there was nothing weird about it! I swear!
I admit, this was an interesting drawing experience. Mostly because, looking back at it, I was always a fan of Tim Burton and now I finally got to design a character inspired by his work! It was great fun to stylize and push her anatomy. The long neck, the lanky, boney arms, the weird shaped mouth. It was a nice experience, specially to draw it all from scratch without using any references! Honestly more artists should try to draw from memory one of these days...
Done entirely in Krita in the course of nearly 4 hours, with no prior posing done before.
Enjoy, ya weird salamanders! More can be found here!
