She's almost done guys, I'm so excited! I did say that she was gonna be finished by today, but unfortunately, something came up. I'm gonna be making dinner for my family and I'm not gonna have enough time to finish the animation. I want to get her done and over with before I start dinner though so you have little snippets of what I have planned. I love her, she's so cute, I can't wait to show you off tomorrow! I decided to paint her with watercolors and cheap acrylics I got from the Michaels store. I am gonna put a fabric choker on her So she's gonna look a little bit different next time I reveal her. Really didn’t know how to handle this background so I went the cheap way out with a starry sky lol

Thought I'd share my first three mermay pieces I've ever done! :>

The first one was from 2017, I had just gotten a cheap drawing tablet to try out digital art and was obsessed with my pink troll Sezahjen!
The second one is Xah'jo _(backgrounds amirite?)_, from 2018 and the third one is my girl Naye'fi, from 2019 :> I improved a lot over those three years, it was so nice to see! <3

My boys!! My best friend and I have this lovely story about these two. The entire concept was to have a sunshine cutie character that secretly has the absolute WORST life (Owen, strawberry blonde), and his bad boy love interest, who's actually had a pretty good life (Loïc, black hair). We thought it would be funny since its usually the other way around.

Owen grew up really rough, incredibly pressure from his parents to be perfect, lots of fighting, and then eventually a divorce that they blamed on him, told him to his face it was his fault. Both parents fought over who would get Owen to live with them, not because they wanted him, but to get back at each other. Eventually Owen picked his mother and his father, an alcoholic, drank himself to death not to long after. His mother blamed him for his death. With no further incentive to keep him, his bother abandoned him at an orphanage and disappeared.
Owen spent most of his young life with few friends, but always did his best in school. Outwardly, he was perfect. Happy, bright, the biggest suck-up imaginable, the teacher's pet, the honor roll student, and yet none of it made anyone love him the way he hoped it would.
By 16, by was emancipated, unable to stand living in orphanage after foster home after temp family. He picked up a few jobs, got a cheap car, and adopted a cat. Now he's just trying to get by without going insane and giving in to the incredible amount of grief in his heart.

Thats where Loïc comes in. I'll talk about him in a different post :P

Just some test with black paper, prismacolor pencils and a white fineliner. I messed up the eye and the nose. Actually, I wanted to change the position of the eye digitally but the new krita and my pc system won't let me. So sorry for that.

But it was a lot of fun to draw. I got this awesome, cheap colored paper and I just had to try it out!

(It's 2022 and I didn't do drawings on black very often tbh. Though it's such a cool way to create!)

The core of the Genesis AU... is me simping over the imaginary and oh-so powerful and amazing bond that Naruto and Sora have as they grow up and experience life and figure out themselves. The second core part is just me shoving all my personal headcanons into one AU and calling it a day.

The premise of the AU is Naruto and Sora met when Sora was accidentally sucked into Ventus's portal to The Other Sky afte Ventus and Vanitas's confrontation in Destiny Islands. He landed in Naruto's world (called the "Reign of Ninja") and from there they struck a quick friendship in spite of Sora being returned to Desting Islands via divine intervention of the worlds going "wait you're not supposed to be here". When KH1 and Part 1 of Naruto start proper, Sora and Naruto meet again after the events of Deep Jungle/The Wave. Things just kind of go off the rails from there, if I'm honest.

1st picture: Naruto has debiliating bills to pay because the entire village hates him so he picks up odd jobs and scrounges up fallen change off the street in the middle of the night. To help with his financial issues, Iruka employs him to help clean up the academy's classrooms after school while he works on grading. When they meet again, Sora joins Naruto in cleaning. On one of the days, Iruka brings out a radio for them to listen to and it plays the song "WIND". Not able to help it, they sing along and have a great time. It's through this experience that both of them learn that the other has a great singing voice.

2nd picture: This takes place in Shippuden. Naruto's financial struggles are a reoccuring plot point in the first parts of Genesis. Sora has expressed multiple times that he doesn't think the village's or his landlord's treatment of Naruto is very fair and resolves to help him by passing off spare munny from his adventures (by this point, KH2 has been completed but not Re:Coded). One of Sora's biggest gripes is that Naruto's situation often forces him to eat the cheapest thing available, including ramen. Naruto actually really enjoys ramen so he doesn't care, but Sora is both a picky eater and also concerned that??? Ramen??? and maybe?? some milk??? seem to be??? all that's?? in Naruto's??? kitchen???? So, Naruto tries to give a presentation on the benefits of ramen. It doesn't work.

3rd picture: Re-designs for Naruto for the Shippuden and post-the mess that happens when the plot veers a hard right off the canon path. I headcanon Naruto to be genderfluid, and it's during Shippuden that they start to think about it and identify as such. Also, there's some important plot stuff that requires him to grow out their hair (it reaches their ankles if not just barely touching the ground). I'm not satisfied with the outfit designs though and will definitely be making more changes and adjustments.

4th picture: Designs for Naruto and Sora while in the MLP world because I had to. Sora was originally a pegasus pony, but one day, he came back to the world and he was suddenly an alicorn. It's also a plot point. Cause of course. He and Twilight are good friends. Meanwhile, Naruto is a full-on pegasus pony. He finds it easier to fly than walk, making him a great racing partner for Rainbow Dash.

Light recon and fast attack vehicle for the IOT spin-off *Great Journeys*. While inspired by the unit from *M.A.X.: Mechanized Assault and Exploration*, this really looks nothing like it, and is closer to the combat trike from *Dune 2000*.

Scouts are fast, cheap, and have a large sight range, making them excellent in hit-and-run attacks against unprotected construction vehicles. They can also be deadly in packs against heavier units, particularly artillery. They are the only amphibious combat unit, but their speed is significantly hampered over water.

This snake family just acquired a home that they were desperately looking for as the rent for their old home was so astronomically high, that they couldn't afford to stay there and also pay for necessities such as food, water, cleaning supplies, etc. Ladies and gents; you're looking at a Serperior mother with her Servine son as they are now proud homeowners of this lovely 2-bedroom, 1-bath house, located in a nice, quiet neighborhood, where most businesses are local and they're only about 20 minutes away from the nearest major town, so if they need something from a major big brand store, it won't take an eternity to complete a round trip. Let's have a round of applause and congratulations to this wonderful, happy family!

This drawing is also going to serve as an update as to where I've been as it's been ~3 months since I drew anything new and a lot has happened during that time. Back in July of this year, the property we were living at for the past 10 years was bought out by another realtor company and we feared that our rent was going to increase as it has already done so at the beginning of this year by ~$250. After the acquisition, we received a letter from the new realtor company that our rent wasn't going up (right away. More on this in a little bit.) which was a huge relief. However, around mid-August, we received another letter from them informing us that the rent would be going up once more, starting in October 2023, by another ~$300! That's 2 rent increases for this year, which is really, really bad! For those wondering if companies can do that since in several states, there's a law that exists that makes it so there's a cap on how much rent can be raised per year. Sadly, Maine is not one of those states that has this law so, realtors can raise the rent as much as they want, whenever they want, so long as they inform their tenants at least 30 days in advance in writing. As a result of this new rent increase, we would not be able to afford the new rent amount as Mom and I live on monthly paychecks, which are used to pay for expenses such as bills, food, necessities, clothes, cleaning supplies, unexpected expenses, etc. So, we had to spend the last 2 months packing up our home while also searching for a new one that's not only within our price range of what we can afford for a monthly rent payment but also had to include heat as heating is very expensive here in Maine and it is required in order to survive Maine's harsh, hard winters. It also had to have enough storage to store as many of our belongings as possible, and it also had to have washer and dryer hookups. Towards the end of September, we were able to find a place that met most requirements for a much cheaper price. However, the place is a lot smaller than our old home and when we moved in, we had to get rid of/donate a lot of things as we don't have the room for them, which sucked as we had a lot of nice things that we had to give away. Despite that, Mom and I are thankful that we not only managed to find a place before October that included heat, plus most other amenities, including electricity which is a huge bonus as not a lot of places include electricity in the rent. We're also thankful that we have a roof over our heads so we're not out on the streets, which I was fearing was going to happen as there weren't too many places for rent that were within our price range and included what we needed. We managed to unpack most of the house, but there's still quite a bit of unpacking left to do, especially in Mom's room as her room is much smaller than mine. (I had to take the bigger bedroom due to my bed and furniture being so large.) Overall, the past 3 months have been the most stressful and scariest of my life as I was filled with fear, anxiety on top of what anxiety I had already, and uncertainty due to these events. We are slowly settling into our new home and thankfully, we're living in a nice, quiet neighborhood that isn't in the boonies and we're only an hour away from a major town, which is nice. I should be able to get back into drawing like I normally do, but who knows what life will throw at us next? Only one way to find out.
