I'm giving up on Inkblot. I'm disappointed. This was a really interesting project, and I was excited to support it. With DeviantART an AI wasteland, I was eager to find another gallery site that supported NSFW content, and IB fit that bill perfectly. But lately it's just been constant delays and weeks on end with no movement or updates from the team, and my patience has run dry. I've left the Discord server and cancelled my Substack subscription. This account will remain, though, in the off chance that things turn around and this place prospers once again. And truly, I hope it does. I have no quarrel with Jay or the IB team and I truly do hope they work to become more active and make this place what it was meant to be. But, in the meantime, I feel my time is best spent supporting other projects. If you'd like to follow me elsewhere, my Carrd is listed on my profile. Otherwise, I wish everyone the best.

Ngl it's been a week since the 2.0 release and I'm disappointed to see there still hasn't been a single CLEAR improvement in sight. Idk if the team is still as small as it was before but like. I have to sadly agree with some criticism I've seen on the main page. It's sad to see that a new version of the website was pushed out when it clearly isn't functional, and I'm wondering why the staff decided to revamp it into looking like a mashup of other social media websites like FB and Twt. Reactions?? Rlly?? Why am I still not able to upload a banner and why did it make an independent post the one time it seemed to work? Why did it delete the banner when I tried to hide my post from my timeline??? Why is there a 'followers' tab before my gallery (that's not even called gallery) and why do I have to click a button to see past 6 previews of the most recently posted art? Is this not a website dedicated to art and creative stuff? Why does it not show my gallery proper? Is the activity so damn low on the website rn that it keeps looping to the same things I've been seeing for the past 7 days? Or have people been posting and I don't see anything? And why is it that some users seem to be fine with uploading stuff and others aren't? Maybe I'm just ignorant about the current situation or what the staff is up to but I would've sincerely preferred to wait longer than to face the excitement of a new version, only to immediately eat disappointment. I've always loved the initiative they had in creating a safe space for artists given how most platforms are going to sh!t, but idk man. In any case, I'm going back to my corner on twt, IG and bsky lol. I shall be waiting for news but will stop checking every 2 days if I can upload a banner or simple image 😂

I haven't been kicking around this website much at all in the past 3ish years but the 2.0 update really really gives Generic SocMed Site and i'm not about it. Who approved this. Genuinely.

New Version Number who dis? I'm lowkey just waiting for *any* deviantArt-like: (Inkblot, Artfol, SheezyArt, Cara) to make artists STOP *ONLY* posting onto general-purpose, timeline-only sites. It's harder to go through and consume a lot of art on those. Not used to the Facebook-y UI of Inkblot 2.0, as… I've been a chronic and intentional Facebook avoider all my life, but we'll see.

I've been thinking about this for a bit, but many of the design choices that came with this 2.0 update are... baffling, to say the least? The site is actually usable now (it barely worked for me before), but it feels like another Facebook/Twitter clone, rather than an art site. I'll continue to observe how things develop but I'm not sure I'm convinced yet. I also wanted to test uploading art here but I quite literally can't, I get an error every time.

😃 Apparently 2.0 went live yesterday! Excited to look around! That aside, any The Amazing Digital Circus fanartists here? Been hyperfixated on it lately, so would love to start favoriting TADC art on here! :D

Whew! It's been a hot while since I popped in here! I'm so glad 2.0 made it, the wait was worth it! Obviously there are some bugs and issues here and there, but nothing bug squashing can't handle. c: I've since got some more non arpg art to share. I may as well share them once I get a moment. 👀

Cleared my entire upload history because otherwise there would be a 2+ year jump in between old and new art. I can see stuff again on here (wasn't able to for a really long time) The website being back (in its new version) was pretty sudden, and I'll have to take time to figure everything out now that it's all new, but I hope that this time it'll be usable 🙏 I've been active on bsky the most, and I'm not planning on re-posting anything here, but the profile is linked in my bio (hopefully we get that option for social links soon!). I also got rid of the second account that I had on here for doodles as I have stopped posting those on single-gallery websites (i.e., without a "scraps" gallery). It looks like the "blogs" page isn't working (yet?) so I'm just putting this in a regular post for now. [edit] I hope there will be a chronological feed and not just "popular" and "suggested" posts. Right now that's all I'm seeing on the front page 😳 [edit 2] I think the lack of a chronological feed might be because I'm not following anyone (yet), but I don't really feel tempted to follow anyone when the only accessible posts are the same few "popular" ones 🤔 I've also noticed a bug in the mobile version of the website (I did send a bug report) that makes it unusable (it keeps forcing me to the previous page seemingly randomly), so I'll only be using it on desktop for now.
